“That’s the magic of literature. We read a story, and something happens. We don’t know what or why, nor which sentence was responsible, but the world has changed and will never be the same again. Sometimes it take us several years to realize that a book tore a hole in reality through which we could escape from the pettiness and despondency of our surroundings” ~ The Book of Dreams

One day, one night, one moment,
With a dream to believe in.
One step, one fall, one falter,
And a new earth across a wide ocean.
This way became my journey,
This day ends together, Far and Away.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated
CC Most Versatile - High Key
I spent a lot of time on this trying to get the book to behave, lol. It didn't want to lay flat and the cover creased a bit rather than curved. Lots of Blu-Tack was used. : )
A shot from the library at the prestigious St. Ignatius College Preparatory School founded in 1869 in Chicago's near west side. Taken during Chicago Open House 2021.
Let me watch by the fire and remember my days
And it may be a trick of the firelight
But the flickering pages that trouble my sight
Is a book I'm afraid to write
It's the book of my days, it's the book of my life
And it's cut like a fruit on the blade of a knife
And it's all there to see as the section reveals
There's some sorrow in every life
If it reads like a puzzle, a wandering maze
Then I won't understand â??til the end of my days
I'm still forced to remember,
Remember the words of my life

"Our life is one open book full of pages. We laugh, we cry, we smile, we stumble, we stand, we fall and we succeed. Every chapter defines who we really are."
Some new wonderful things just waiting for you to go grab them! In this scene we have new items from .:revival:., {vespertine}, and Camdem.
From Camdem we have a brand new group gift! It's a lovely sketchbook with charcoal pencils. This sketchbook comes with a hud that allows you to change the color of the book, the drawing inside the book, and the metal color on the edges of the pages. One thing I love about Camdem's work is that there are so many options with just one item. You can grab this new group gift here:

Back to my heart project. I've had this idea in my head for quite a while but don't love the execution so just think concept. The puppy knocked the books over like dominoes so we are done for today.
“Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens.”

Ho sempre amato leggere.
