Columbine buds with orange and yellow wallflowers in background. Locking Close… On Friday Flower Buds

Bonnet from Normandy, dated to the 19th century. Meant to be worn at a wedding by the bride (I mean, in contrast to female guests, not the groom!)
On display at the museum at Chatêau Martainville, in Martainville-Épreville, France.
This simian confronted me on my terrace and then jumped on to the tree in the next property...still intimidating me :)

During a trip in Tasmania's Midlands there is a place few people would visit on the back roads. The familiar shapes of the Midland's dome hills and quiet pastoral scenery abounds. This place is called Bonnet Hill on Pawtella Road between York Plains and Pawtella.

This is Elizabeth Anderson performing, though from this angle she's somewhat unidentifiable. Charlie was stuck in high gear so I didn't get to listen long, but she's awesome (performing with her brother Ben).
Anyway, I hope everyone's having a great week.

A flock was feeding early morning in farmland, and several popped up as I drove by.

Bonnet from Normandy, dated to the 18th century. Decorated with Beauvais style embroidery (according to its museum label, I'm not that good at telling different sorts of embroidery apart).
On display at the museum at Chatêau Martainville, in Martainville-Épreville, France.
Common names: Columbine, Granny's Bonnet.
Genus: Aquilegia.
Family: Ranunculaceae.

I found this small group of Bonnets growing on a fallen tree trunk recently and couldn't resist taking a few shots of them.
