A friend found this at the beach one day, claims it is a whale bone. Anyone know for sure?
The coloring is mold/mildew from sitting on the porch steps.

Caught a glimpse of this little skull on the side of the road while hunting down autumn photos.
I took a moment to arrange this because I thought the white bone against the rich red was glorious! ...and so Georgia O'Keeffe-esk. (one of my faves)
Another of the first shots with the new Canon Rebel. Just a bone in a tree out in the woods. I don't know what kind of bone or how it got there :)
Late additions, Bones (6/10) have amusingly been listed on the Last.FM website as being a hardcore punk-metal band from Sweden. Their fans will have been disappointed when a girl-fronted 3-piece nu-wave act hits the stage.
We don’t know anything about Bones. Nor does Google and (as proven) neither does the Last.FM music search button. This is something of an achievement in its own right. Maybe if they play somewhere that the sound doesn’t give the impression it’s been filtered through a winter duvet it’ll be possible to assess whether or not they’ll be able to shake off this cloak of internet invisibility.
They’ll need more songs first though. ‘Too Hard to Say’ left the crowd too bored to care – although the final ‘Somebody Call the Police’ struggled out from under the muffled vocals with a fierce percussive twist.

BONES.....AMERICAN BULLDOG/BOXER mix. He is approximately 1 years old. He is a neutered male American Bulldog/Boxer mix. He is up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. Bones was found wandering the street weighing only 30lbs. He now weighs a healthy 90lbs. He is full of energy and life. He thinks he is a lap dog. He is very affectionate and lovable. Unfortunately, he is fighting for alpha male status with my 5yr. old male mix. Therefore, we can't keep Bones. He needs to go to a home where he will be the only dog. I do not know how he is with children. Also, the person who takes Bones needs to be able to handle a large dog and be responsible with him concerning meeting new people, going on walks, etc. Bones just wants to be loved, and in a home where he is the only pet, I think he will be happy. He is such a sweetie that it breaks our hearts that we can't keep him.
Please call Robbie to meet this dog. 305-799-1567
