Harley Davidson Fuel Tank Skull................................... imagetaker1.photoshelter.com/gallery-list
This is the direction I'm trying to move my light painting, out of the studio, into the scenery, to combine all of the different things I've been working on.
This is mostly lucky-accident (I have a lot of these) where I realized that I was drawing the mountains that were obscured by fog. I like it. I took some film versions that should look even better.
So, everybody, meet Cutiful. She's just starting out, which is a little bit of adjustment from the people I usually work with because I forget that I have to give her more instruction than the seasoned pros.
I had a really boneheaded time at the shoot. We were always short on time, I took her all the way up the hill and then realized that the film was still in the car, so I had to run down the hill and back up before I could shoot.
She's a trooper, that's for sure. Even though she really likes being in the Central Valley where it doesn't get cold, she was able to deal quite well with the cold temperatures of the bay area quite well. Including going for a dip in the bay. :)
She's also awful good at holding still, which is a definate plus with my style.
At an inn by the hearth a drunk barbarian ex-soldier confesses to a well drunken brother his misdeeds from his past as a warrior in the barbarian horde…
So, dear brother Boldrick, *hiccups* it was on a wartrack path to the far north *hiccups* we encountered a village of a strange race of giants, they were a bit like us, you know they had two fingers just like us and that stuff *hiccups* two eyes, but a strange hue to their skin, and of course the stood above ground 2-3 normal man-heights…
When we first approached the village the Giants carried flowers and food to us, *hiccups* They put flowers in our hair and gave us wine and cake that tasted lovely…
Our commander Strategist Snook, snarled at us for eating and drinking their food *hiccups* he said: you imbecile simpletons, don’t you thick headed boneheads know about poison??? He *hiccups* ripped the jugs and plates from our hands and threw it to the ground…
The giants spoke a weird language Sounding a bit like that kraut that rules the alliance kingdoms we always fight *hiccups* they were not understandable to us civilized barbarians, but, b-but they made gestures that we took as invitations to their village…
We passed their defences and inside long tables with more dishes of all sorts of food where displayed, som children had already, *hiccups* they had started to eat, *bu-huuu* they had a feast, and the band started playing a oumpa-oumpa kind of music!!!
*buuu-huuu* *panth-snort* the children led our soldiers to the tables full of festive dishes… some men wanted to sit down… but then an angered Snook yelled a hissing order…
*buu-hoo-huuu* none of them were fighters, just one giant had armor, a weapon and was trained in fighting!!! Be despite his size he fell swift by our superior numbers… then the carnage started, *hiccups* *buu-huuu-snort-snort* we just killed and killed *buuhuuu* then we pillaged… *buhuuu* I saw the fear in their eyes when they were reaped like a wheatfield, cut down… I saw the golden brown eyes of a giant boy the age of my son… I couldn’t hurt him… then Snook came up behind me and cut the beautiful child down, *buuhuuu* Then he told me: weakling, I will deal with you after the battle, unless you prove yourself…
…and I did, the images will always haunt me, I have nightmares every night…
We pillaged plenty of gold, but when most of our troops had celebrated victory and was asleep I snuck away, I fled, perhaps I will never see my wife and children again, but I defected… *hiccups* but I could stand no more killing, now I am here, a drunk at night and slaving on our feudal lords fields by day, but I complaint not on my lot in life… I even started praying in the morning when I am hung over… praying for my forgiveness for what I have done in pursuit of Gold and Glory… and when the lord calls me to beyond I will readily take my punishment in hell… that *hiccups* is my story my friend!!!
last time i visited DHS i wanted to grab some shots of the muppet area by the backlot. I never give this area any real photo love partly because i don't visit this area often. i will say though that this place as nice as it is, is really best for daytime. there really wasn't a whole lot that caught my eye at night (besides this one).
congrats to the pack and the cheeseheads on their super bowl win. it was a really good super bowl! one of these days the stinkin' dolphins might make it someday (but with this owner who's a complete bonehead, the future looks grimmer than grim for fin fans)
Mr. Bones sending it! A new jet for the 95th Fighter Squadron heads for the High Key at NAS JRB Fort Worth.
Another shot from our heavy snow last week. Clancy has a ton of energy and is particularly interested in sticks... and trying to get you to throw his sticks. But on this particular shot he was just enjoying the thick fresh powder and running and jumping through it like crazy.
I really don't know why, but for some reason I felt compelled to make these polymer clay skull charms aka "BONEHEADS". Did the devil make me do it?

I took these photos on a very nasty day in Istanbul. The rain moved in and continued for three days. I got sick and gave it to my wife. Our last two days in Istanbul consisted of staying in the hotel, drinking so much soup and taking a bunch of cough medicine. Not the way we wanted to end our trip. Like a dummy I went out walking again - the rain started with a vengeance. Bonehead. These photos are from the Grand Bazaar and Istanbul University area. I took these photos in mid-April 2022.
DANGER
FAST SKIING IN THIS AREA
NOVICES SHOULD USE GREEN CHAIR
LONG SKIS ONLY
This is a Whistler heritage sign. For me it defined what Whistler was - and the day it came down Whistler Mountain changed.
There used to be a sign at the top of the GS run on Whistler that said, "Warning! Long Skis and Fast Skiing Only!" It's been gone for more than a decade now, probably because in this increasingly litigious age the mountain was advised by its' legal eagles that the sign tacitly endorsed fast skiing and was thus an open invitation to lawsuits. Management also probably doesn't wish to hear about slow skiing guests being headed off on such a run and having their 160 cm Olin Mark IVs' kicked off their feet and thrown in the woods as sometimes happened.
In the seventies, the first time the ski industry tried to convince the skiing world that short skis were where it was at, Whistler residents by and large stubbornly resisted the industry trend and remained true to long boards. "Short skis suck, long skis truck!" they would shout from the chairs at owners of skis which, when stood on their tails, wouldn't even reach their owners' mouth.
The longer the better. Typically the fall migration would see Ontario residents moving into the valley with big eyes and short skis, skis eminently suited to the eight hundred foot high, bump-covered hills they learned to ski on but socially unacceptable in Whistler. By the third week of the ski season most of the newcomers would have found a way to buy up. The first few months of the ski season could be scary as the new residents practiced on their newly acquired speed machines.
Back then long skis, and long means long, in the 215 to 223 cm range, were really only good for one thing - laying down figure elevens. Skiing that kind of ski at speed required skills most of the new transplants didn't possess. Many new owners of long skis were amazed at just how far they would fly off certain innocuous looking rollers when they hit them at Mach 1, and how far they had to walk back up for their hat and goggles and poles and gloves and skis after they finished tumbling. It really was amazing more people didn't get killed.
Downhill skis weren't for sale in retail ski shops so a kind of black market existed. Only racers got new 223's, civilians had to track down used ones. One of the favorites were the old Holy Rollers - Fischer downhill skis with holes in the tips which reduced drag and thus increased speed. Gray Rossi's were also popular, and Yamaha downhill skis enjoyed cult status. The cool binding of choice was the Marker Explodomat with race springs. There were no binding plates on those skis, back then it was believed that the lower the skier stood above the snow the better feel he or she would have for what the ski was doing.
Groups of residents would get together for speed days. This required some planning. Skiers would take turns acting as course marshals to protect the other skiers on the hill. The unofficial marshals would stand above blind spots and indicate to their buddies hurtling towards them whether they should continue their headlong flight or slow down. As a skier came to a blind corner or breakover he would watch his buddy standing on the knoll or at the corner; if there was no signal he wouldn't slow down but poles crossed over the head meant someone was traversing the landing zone and speed should be dumped quickly.
The self-patrolling system worked fairly well and there were very few close calls. Of course back then there were a heck of a lot fewer skiers on the hill. Today there are only a few places left on either mountain where one should ski or board at speed and really the only place left to 'give 'er' is on a closed super g or downhill course. Unfortunately this is not to say that there don't seem to be a lot of boneheads up there who slide way too fast, usually on the most inappropriate runs. Why anyone would think that tucking down Whiskeyjack is a good idea (or even a challenge) remains a mystery but the Slopewatch gang will doubtless confirm that it happens far too often.
Anyone who thinks that traveling at top speed on crowded runs is their God-given right should go with a child. Those who don't have a child should borrow one from a relative or close friend. It is a terrifying experience watching clowns right at the limit of their ability tearing past your sixty pound eight year old with only feet to spare.
It's unlikely that a sign will ever go up in this valley again that reserves a hill for long skis and fast skiing. The liability ramifications are probably far too complex. Still, it's a tantalizing thought isn't it? The run of choice on Whistler is obvious, on Blackcomb with all those criss-crossing roads it's not as clear but there must be a run somewhere on that mountain that can be isolated.
Such a sign would benefit those wishing to ski fast again, it would benefit those who already ski fast in inappropriate areas, and it would certainly benefit those skiers who presently live in fear of the former. The sign would also directly benefit the world of ski retail. Race GS skis used to sell well in this valley but they don't sell anymore. Identify one run as a place for "Long skis and fast skiing only!" and watch sales of SF Speeds and World Cups (and brain buckets) soar...

So, you may have seen those "special" iPhone headphone adapters selling for $10-15, thanks to the device's boneheaded headphone jack design. But if you're like me, why you should pay for one when you can make one yourself?
What you need:
- One pair of those useless earphones that came with your iPod (for the cable)
- In-line 1/8" stereo phone jack (available at any Radio Shack)
- Soldering iron
- Soldering wire
- Wire cutter for stripping (optional, scissors are acceptable)
- Electric tape
- Steady hands
Instructions:
1) Chop the earphones off the iPod cable.
2) Strip the iPod cable about 1/2" to reveal the inner wires. This cable features four strands: Red wire, green wire, copper and a "combo" wire.
3) Insert the phone jack jacket into the cable.
4) Join the copper and "combo" wires together and attach them to the hole of the larger jack's spade (ground). Remove excess wire if needed.
5) This leaves us with the green and red wires, corresponding to left and right channel. Attach them to the respective left and right spade holes of the phone jack.
6) Solder the three connections carefully. Just a small amount of solder is needed, manipulate soldering iron carefully.
7) It is recommended to isolate all connections with a tiny slice of electric tape wrapped around each one. Again, a little goes a long way.
8) Screw the phone jack jacket into the jack base.
9) Plug cable's male part into iPhone and attach headphones or another 1/8" cable to the other end.
10) Turn on iPhone's iPod and enjoy :)

Your eye is more powerful
than a camera lens
your pictures capture
lifes essence
poetic photographic
make sense
in a world of hatred
where minds are dense
you show reality
as surrealistic suspense
faces within faces
sad and tense
giving a pound of wisdom
for every pence
pictures that mend
a broken fence
your contributiion
to american photography
solidly immense

He could have been born in India but does it really matter ..humanity is a world without borders and he shows it through the rich tapestry of his images.
Mind you his images are not to shock and awe..to sensationalize dire human needs , he wants you too see his images through compassion , through tolerance and through your inner being.
This is Dr Glenn Losack MD renowned psychiatrist, lyricist, poet, musician, and a very opinionated man..he does he wants to do..but yet like all of us he has a Muse ..a Muse that has given him a reason to Live..or Relive .
Actually the good doctor needs no testimonials ..his pictures adorn covers of National Geographic and he has his site on Better Photo..
It took a lot of convincing on my part to move his collection to Flickr which has a larger and diverse viewership , the best of the best.
That he allowed me to showcase his pictures at my site speaks volumes of his love for me..and that he loves my family like his own, and he loves Marziya too.

This granddaddy has seen a lot in it's long life. There are still living witnesses on Fostral who saw it triumph in the big race from Incubator. They mopped the floor with those four boneheaded quizzers Zeexen on their right-on dragsters, and copped guns from them worth wads of beebs. Fortune lives in this machine.

So this is mechos, a fantastic vehicle from old game Vangers made by Russian studio K-D Lab. So much memories... It's now available on Steam! If you brave enough, go and get it! And good luck on the roads of the Lost Chain. Also, the render took me 30+ hours.
I had a little reunion hike with some of my pups on my visit up to BC. I missed this little gal especially!

My poem for Do You Like It
21 June 2008
Your eye is more powerful
than a camera lens
your pictures capture
lifes essence
poetic photographic
make sense
in a world of hatred
where minds are dense
you show reality
as surrealistic suspense
faces within faces
sad and tense
giving a pound of wisdom
for every pence
pictures that mend
a broken fence
your contributiion
to american photography
solidly immense
no nonsense
as a photographer
as a poet
I say this to you
in your defense
your pictures
are soulful scriptures
without pretense"

You said this about a PSYCHIATRISTS' view:
""This mortal man born in Brooklyn is a kinetic force that touches the core of the underbelly of humanity, a humanity that one does not believe exists, the disfranchised, the marginalized, the deformed , the leper and all such varieties ..he shoots pain and he makes you endure that pain..
I hope all my friends and well wishers on Flickr will see Glenns pictures and evaluate them with encouragement and truthful comments.
Welcome Home Doc.""

We were in the Los Angeles area on a short trip in August 2021. My wife gave me a pass to go to Clutters Park for a few hours. Excellent plane watching - it was good to see so many international flights back at LAX. Photography wise, the heat haze was pretty intense and I wasn't paying close enough attention to my camera settings - what a bonehead. I guess I'll need to return to LAX for more practice!

Nothing like playing a little fetch on a frozen lake in the rain with a nice layer of water over the ice! The dogs were loving it, and it provided a great setting to snap some photos in. This is at Cypress Lake which has been frozen for quite sometime now, I just wish there was more snow up there!
