Technically it's not named that. The Bumble B Soda Shop called it a chocolate shake with extra's.
Whatever, it is extraordinary. From the delight that the proprietors took in making it, to the tastes encountered in devouring it, to the looks we got from passers by. It has a chocolatey shake in the middle, with hand built sides of chocolate brownies, to floating squares of brownies in the shake, to drizzles of caramel and chocolate syrup. I think.
My eyes glazed over about 3/4's of the way through.

Replica of the bomb which pierced the dome on 9th April 1942 while people were gathering for mass, but did not explode.
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial, also known as the Genbaku Dome, Atomic Bomb Dome or A-Bomb Dome, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. The ruin serves as a memorial to the people who were killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945. Over 70,000 people were killed instantly, and another 70,000 suffered fatal injuries from the radiation.
At 8:15 a.m. on 6 August 1945, the first atomic bomb to be used in war was dropped by the United States Army Air Forces from the Enola Gay, a B-29 bomber. The force of the atomic bomb effectively obliterated the city of Hiroshima, Japan.
The building was the only structure left standing near the bomb’s hypocenter.

Alias: Time Bomb
Real Name: N/A
Gender: N/A
Alignment: Villain
Powers: Explosion Manipulation
Backstory: The villain Time Bomb has an unhealthy obsession with the other explosive Cardinal City villain, Detonator. Even going so far as to meet the Bestower, to be given very similar explosive powers. Time Bomb has even fashioned a costume that looks similar to Detonator's. With the newfound power, Time Bomb would become a force to be reckoned with, only wanting to be recognized by Detonator.
Status: Recently become more active, with Detonator getting locked up. Constantly challenging Solar to a fight

I was standing quite some distance away from the explosion but I was still able to feel the heat of it.
A squadron of Barnacle geese is performing a bomb run on the Zwin. Barnacle geese are some of the most common and numerous winter guests in these areas. The massive production of geese droppings has been a cause of concern, though also has been considered as an alternative food source for reindeer. Barnacle normally breed in the Arctic.

Russian Mothers, do you want that your sons will die in Putin's war? Do you want, that your sisters and brothers in Ukraine will die under the bombs of your sons ?

It seems I'm more of a night time photographer after all :). I tried to find an interesting angle during the day but in the end the place seemed a lot more interesting after the sun had sunk below the horizon.
やっぱり夜の写真家かもしれません、私。昼の間に写真を撮ってみたですが、日没後、原爆ドームと周りのエリアはもっと面白くなると思いました。

As I was waiting for the UBHF to grind uphill out of Thurmont, nary a vehicle passed on Maryland Route 550.
As the sound of the EMDs grew louder, a few cars passed by but the road mostly remained empty.
Then as the lead SD40M-2 slowly ground into view, a solidary vehicle appeared and rolled right into the frame as I hammered down the shutter.
Hooray.
Normally I'd just leave my builds to be interpreted how they might be, but this one has a couple of ideas behind it.
The micro build is supposed to contrast the massive nature of the bomb, the white is supposed to represent order vs the opposite in the blast, the minifig statue has it's head buried in the ground and is inverted to symbolise egocentricity and chaos, the bomb is made up of minifigure accessories (and the statue) that are all human constructions, the dent in the environment represents the damaging nature of what we do.
I tried to make the bomb significantly different to the one I did in this shot also. flic.kr/p/pYRTKC
The colors of Aurora Borealis in simple terms :)
As charged particles from the sun come in contact with atoms of nitrogen and oxygen in earth's atmosphere energy is released. This usually happens at very high altitudes around 90-130 km. The energy released in the spectrum of visible light is the colors that we can see or capture. The color produced depends on which atom is struck oxygen or nitrogen and at what altitude. If a particle collides with an oxygen atom at lower altitudes the color green is produced. Red can be seen if particles come in contact with oxygen at very high altitudes. Blue is produced if an particle collides with nitrogen at lower altitudes, and the color purple/violet if the collision is at high altitude.

Built in 1930's as an experimental bombing range. It involved the use of state-of-the-art equipment for tracking the flight of bombs in order to improve their aerodynamics and to produce tables to refine the precision of bomb aiming.

Destruction after the first Atomic Bomb was exploded over Hiroshima on the 6th August 1945 . I'm not going to talk about this incident , it is a well known fact of what happened and is now history .
The remains off the Shimomura Jewellers shop made in 1928 from ferro cement . Its eye-catching clock tower supported clock faces on all 4 sides . The building was approximately 620 Mts from the epicentre of the bomb explosion . The business was on Hirataya - cho now Hondori St near where the Shimura Watch Shop was in 1946 . So what you see is the top floor only of the shop and its supported tower . The bottom floor had totally disintegrated leaving the remains of the building leaning precariously in the rubble .
Original photo , could be a commercial image of very limited production . Original size 142 x 105 mm ? now 142 x 91 mm , sadly my late Father who had dementia in his final years and had cut the bottom of these photos which had hand printing in a white ink ( scratched into negative ) crudely printed .
