Trying to photograph this beautiful part of the honeysuckle blossom with the interesting bokeh behind, this tiny little fly photo bombed the picture and made it perfect to me. :-D

When you are having some fun for a picture and your soul sister Nikole, tps in and photo bombs your shot!!
Making the picture even more fun and interesting!! lol
One of these things is not like the other.... We got photo bombed at just the last second, but I went ahead with the shot.
she was everywhere, but when I started to look, only found 8 more... bring my egg count so far to 38...
Using a manual lens is not advised when capturing a fluttering butterfly!!
The Riverside, Phnom Penh
Pigeons at the Riverside are so tame, they will actually eat right out of your hand. The one above just flew in to say hi and to see if my camera was edible. 😁
In the photo above, you're actually looking across The Tonle Sap River, away from the city. A five minute walk from here, The Tonle Sap merges with The Mekong River. This area of Phnom Penh is known as The Riverside, home of The Royal Palace, The National Museum, Wat Ounalom and dozens of cafes, bars, restaurants and hotels.
There is a wide, paved pedestrian sidewalk running along the rivers, which makes it a popular hangout for foreigners and locals alike. Especially after sunset, when it cools off.
(Maltese: Bieb il-Bombi, Italian: Porta delle Bombe, meaning "Bombs' Gate") . It was originally built in 1721 as an advanced gate within the faussebraye of the Floriana Lines, and it was enlarged with the construction of a second archway in 1868. The ramparts on either side of the gate have since been demolished, leaving the gate looking like a triumphal arch.
A World War II vintage B-17 bomber delivers its payload amidst bursting antiaircraft flak in this simulated scene. It was created from an image that I took during an air show this summer. On this Veterans Day weekend, let us honor and remember all of our veterans and the sacrifices that they have made.

One foot/ 1/3 meter of snow was predicted- instead we got at least 2 feet in 24 hours. Three inches/ 7.5 cm of rain is coming today, so the pile of white will be melting fast! I was out photographing the juncos in the snow when this beautiful Spotted Towhee showed up. Mount Shasta, California
RR32 makes it way back up the US Steel yard after spotting coils. Unfortunately I got cloudbanged on their way down. Not wanting to lose the shot i waited for them to double back, but alas a tanker truck bombed me as the unit crossed my shot. Oh well, the shot’s still alright.

. . . This picture better represents what a "Bomb Cyclone" is like, better than my last upload from the Northshore of Grand Haven. I had to brace myself against a chain link fence for this one, and the channel and ice completely covers up the pier on the south side of the Grand River here!
Have a great week Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!
Dive bombing is a little different from photo bombing! This red-tailed hawk took exception to my walking on the trail in its territory and kept circling low over my head!
A BlackHeaded Gull bombs the shot of 66701 easing the Britannic Explorer off the Fowey branch passing Golant on a September Sunday morning. The mist was still clearing as the 0906 Carne Point to Lostwithiel passes by.
The passengers would alight at Lostwithiel for a morning out at The Eden Project whilst the train reversed back onto the branch for servicing. 66744 is on the rear.
Orford Ness
Suffolk
Due to its remoteness one of the main activities at Orford Ness was the investigation of bomb ballistics; the study of the flight of objects moving under their own momentum and the force of gravity.
An Anna's Hummingbird relieving itself of some used nectar. I rarely offer bird shots in black and white, but this one screamed B&W to me. This is the last in my hummingbird series for now. I have more to share at a later time. NEXT UP: some abstract graphics I created during the pandemic.

If you are wondering about the neatly trimmed grass here, they don't have especially well suited lawn mowers, but the grass is looked after by a flock of sheep. The area here is littered with bomb craters - and it can be worth remembering that back in June 1944, the whole coastal area would have been full of them, they have just generally not been preserved to the present day.
Pointe du Hoc, the place of World War II D-day Normandy landings (6 June 1944) fame. The place is situated to the east of Utah beach and to the west of Omaha beach and was a part of the German Atlantic wall. Pointe du Hoc (which really isn't a beach but a set of very, very steep - not to say generally speaking vertical - cliffs) was taken by the American Ranger Assault Group, which included occupying the German fortification at the top.
