Created for the Looking Close... on Friday theme, NUT & BOLT.
Close up image of a rusting, paint peeling gate bolt at the Manila Chinese Cemetary, Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines.
I waited under a shelter at EH Young Park near Riverside, Mo. as an early morning storm rolled into the area. As it drew closer the lightning intensified.
Looking Close on Friday - Nuts and Bolts
Happy Looking Close on Friday everyone.
Hope this is OK, as it is only 1 nut and 1 bolt :)
The last one of some detail of what I call 'the old wreck' whenever I go down to visit it. It's not just the textures, tones and patterns in the ageing wood and the rusting iron that fascinate as you clamber over it, but all the lifeforms that have made, and continue to make it their home, as the years go by, and of course the integrity of the structure itself. I could go on posting pictures I've taken here, but for now let's say "goodbye old wreck ... we'll be seein' ya". Thanks for looking everyone.
A large area of rain over SW Va. had multiple embedded thunderstorms that lit up the skies. There was lightning in all directions as the storms were talking to each other. Single shot, bolts happened all at once. www.terryaldhizer.com
