A Rusty Bold for Macro Monday theme "State of Decay"

After work went out to the lake to try and catch mr. Bolt. The storm at times was quite intense and the sky was a wierd colour.

I was looking over some recent storm photos and found this capture of a single bolt.

My Bar Association asked me to give a speech on "The Nuts and Bolts of Criminal Law Defense" but I said I had never met any of the bolts.

One very short glimpse of the spectacular show the sky had to offer yesterday (24-25/10) in Athens. More than 8 hours of continuous lightning activity. Several active cells 360o, all across the horizon. Didn't know where to shoot first. The night begun with a supercell and a funnel, lots of hail in some areas. Fireballs, damaging lightning, bolts from the blue inside the city, etc! More than 1600 photos to process. More to come in the next days. Typical Autumnal storms to fall in love with. Quite the view from here! We were now going to head into the Salcombe estuary. The cost in the distance was walked by me in 2015.

Bolt is a modern sculpture crafted by artist David Hamilton in 2006. It stands in the grounds of the Inveresk campus of the University of Tasmania.

This photograph is a multiple exposure of a colour photograph from my Leica D-Lux 7, and an infrared photograph from my Panasonic DMC-TZ40. In the short video I have posted today you will see how these images have been blended together. The ghosting and lens flare is from the infrared.

Taken at Nuffield Place, Oxfordshire. #113 'Bolts' for 116 pictures in 2016. (D72_1563)

Large bolt from a very lightning active, but short lived summer storm on Tasmania's east coast.

Real lightning bolt strikes - with a sunrise over the city.

I followed this storm very early one summer morning, and was able to get several nice shots. This was one of the last shots I got before the sun came up and the storm rolled off over the mountains and into the next county.

Since there are some fairly major roads in the area around my new office, we have motorway-style crash barriers in places. This is a group of bolts that hold together the barrier where two pieces come together.

I experimented with cropping out the line where the edges of the two sections come together, but it made the whole composition too cramped...
