This 100mm f/2.8L lens is a bokeh machine. These tiny blossoms "popped" when shot up close. These might be my last flower shots outdoors this year...the window is closing fast!
Technical info: Canon 60D, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro, processed in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CS5.

There are so many things I could say about my mom....
We love and hate each other often within the same minute.
We are cut from the same cloth and therefore create electricity when rubbed together....
We are often oblivious to the fact that we are so similar....
We love each other so deeply that it cuts deeper when we hurt each other....
At the end of the day ...
She has done more for me than I can put into words....
The love a son has for his mother can usually never be broken because the bond is so strong for so long ......
Mom I love you (even though you will never read this ... not internet savvy)
the cake is a rum cake made by the devil... God Forgive me because I have sinned

After an amazing Sushi dinner tonight in Riverside, we decided to go out shooting in and around the Riverside area. I busted out the D7000 and the AF NIKKOR 50mm 1.8D lens and the AF NIKKOR 80-200mm 2.8D ED telephoto and proceeded to shoot my bride.
I ABSOLUTELY love the bokeh of the 50mm 1.8D prime lens. It's very jittery/nervous but it's strange bokeh is what makes this lens so fun. I've always grabbed the "Nifty Fifty" when i wanted jittery/hard-lined bokeh(especially for portraits on a DX body). Not all lenses need a creamy bokeh.

Nikon D7000
AF NIKKOR 50mm 1.8D Prime lens
ISO-100

Snap from a shot of Paradise Roasters' Espresso classico, bound for the cappuccino I'm just now finishing off... fantastic. I got some great pulls dialing this coffee in, too. This is a fun coffee.
I can't believe how long it's been since I have posted here. I have been busy capturing magic in my own backyard. It's filled with hummingbirds fattening up for migration.
In the seach of bokehlicious photo, we planned a last minute midnight YOLO photoshoot, and it turns out GREAT ! Thanks to Photoworks Johnson for the advice on the fairylights, although i bought the one in LAZADA
I'll admit, these photos are very challenging to make. I'm sorry if it isn't sharp or anything, or it isn't that bokehlicious like the inspirational Brandon Woelfel Photography. Fellow photographers will understand the focus hunting in the dark QUIRKS using cheap camera.
But with her IMPRESSIVE TALENTS, I'd managed to produce some cool photos depsite a short window (the place is closing at 12am, we reached there 11.30). No wonder she's easily Everyone's Favourite Model (puji sikit bagi kembang)
Shot with Canon 60D + Canon 50mm f/1.4
Another shot from Sunday afternoon with the 35mm f1.8 prime. A single RAW file processed as usual in Lightroom 3.6.
