Sometimes, when I am so tired I feel on the verge of collapsing and I think “no, I am too tired to use camera anyway”, still my body acts in a kind of auto-mode in response to the view in front of me. As if the switching off the logical mind helps in seeing things.

Pewnego dnia w Tokio…
Wracając ze sklepu, spotkałem tego kota, gdy siedział sobie na wysokim murku dumnie i może nieco pogardliwie spoglądając wokoło. Zsiadłem z roweru i zacząłem robić mu zdjęcia. Najwyraźniej się zadziałało to mu na nerwy, ponieważ się odwrócił, i zniknął w szczelinie między domami. W Japonii domy budowane są blisko siebie, w tym wypadku odległość między domami była tylko nieco większa, niż szerokość kota. Nie porzuciłem jednak nadziei. Dopadłem go w tej szczelinie i sfotografowałem.
Once upon a time in Tokyo
On my way home, I made an eye contact with proudly looking cat, sitting on a wall. I started to take photos, but he got irritated and hid in a narrow space between the houses - in Japan the houses are sometimes built as close as the width of a cat. I followed him there, and managed to capture one final photo.
