Summer is not my favorite season. I hate mosquitoes licking their chops and webs being in places I want to walk thought and water lingering in the air preventing clear nasal passages. I want to walk in the woods without worry of stepping on a snake or being bitten by an array of tiny creatures with fluttering wings.
But there is just something so special about a summer sunset after the rain. Despite the sweat trickling down my neck into the streams, I can't help but feel that maybe summer is not so bad after all. I see the butterflies flitting through fields and honeybees peacefully gathering for the winter to come and I know that summer, for all it's faults, is not so bad after all.

While this tour of Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, and Czech Republic looks like a dream on Instagram, the reality is that the European migrant crisis is still underway and border security is very much heightened. I am traveling with a group of tourists from the U.S., Canada, Poland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and United Arab Emirates, and early this afternoon we crossed the border of Austria into the Czech Republic. This is the last border crossing of our trip, and the first one in which passports have been checked extensively by border police. Seegrotte Hinterbrühl is a former gypsum mine, and it is Europe's largest underground lake. On our last day in Praha, we were walking to Petrin Tower when we began to see crowds of people line up along the sides of Národní, the road we were on. We found out there was going to be a parade of old streetcars, so we decided to stop and watch. The streetcars were very cool, but what I actually loved about this parade was something else entirely. Some people on the streetcars were dressed in period costumes and uniforms and others just wore modern street clothes, but each car was full of people waving to the spectators, and we were all waving back. It was so pure and simple and sweet to witness in a time when people don't always treat each other as kindly as I imagine they did in the bygone eras when these streetcars ran. Cesky Krumlov is a small town in southern Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, mainly for its fine architecture in gothic, renaissance, and baroque style, constructed during the 13th through the 17th centuries.
This town is my favorite destination throughout the whole of my trip. I even found the beer that named Bernard(www.bernard.cz/) there. A bottle of Bernard cost around 1 Euro. It is a pity I can't find the beer again in Prague.
Artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser became known as "the Austrian Gaudi" after designing this Expressionist landmark in Vienna.
