365 shot for the Macro Monday's theme "Ugliness"
I tried to think of the ugliest thing I possessed and being a child of the eighties the word "Boglin" floated into my mind. A short(45 minute!) search in my parents loft space turned up this delightful little fellow.
For this shot I shoved a YN-560 flash set to 1/128 up his backside and triggered it with a RF-602.

I'm so happy to get the newer Boglins, I love them unendingly. But I also found a really weird seuss-like hugging monster, and can't figure out if it's handmade or company made! Mysteries.
The right is the original toy from my youth.

So the kids running the sale says Grandma made hoarder Grandpa clean out 3 storage units. The kids just wanted to get rid of the stuff, AT ANY COST! So you just grab a bunch of stuff, and they ballpark you an amount! I got alllll this awesome vintage weirdness for $15 !!
And it sure was fun finding these gems amongst the tousled boxes of random junk, that was worth the price of admission alone!
And LOOK!!! A Boglin! And a 1975 Jaws game! And a 1976 King Kong Decanter!! My year is made.
