'In her hands' reflects of young female captures a “ball”- the only opportunity in life that might never happen again to her. Painting shows all of it: ambition, fulfilment, determination in reaching ‘life goals’, beauty and strength the female over independent life.

Knowledge of the body structure is important to the art of adjusting. As well as practicing observation of the body to cultivate body awareness, our courses cover the anatomy and physiology of the body. This helps us further our understanding of the body within each posture, specifically where it is restricted, where there is potential for injury, and where it can continue further.

“My parents never sent me to any special school. They never let me feel that I was suffering from dwarfism. I remember going to the doctor frequently with parents during my adolescent days but I simply assumed that they were a part of regular checkups that every kid has to have. Nevertheless, the society broke the truth to me when I was 9 years old. I remember I had joined a new school and as I entered the new class, everyone started laughing at me. I laughed along with them thinking that it was some kind of a welcoming gesture in the class. But soon, I realized the laughs were aimed at me and nothing else. They all laughed and teased me because of my short stature. I always went home and wept the entire night. Somewhere, the experience was so traumatic that I forced my parents to not send me to that school. That’s when they explained to me that I will have to face such cruel beings and crass behaviour everywhere in the long run."
