We stopped in Bakio on the way back from the nearby island of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. After eating with friends at the excellent La Parra restaurant/bar, we went down to the beach to catch the sunset. The braver kids got their bodyboards out of the cars and went into the surf.
Bodyboarding is also referred to as Boogieboarding due to the invention of the "Boogie Board" by Tom Morey in 1971.

El 7 de Enero, me tocó ir sólo a hacer el atardecer, de prisa y sin tiempo de comprobar la meteo y las mareas... decidí ir a la playa una vez más.
Llegué tarde, el sol hacia unos minutos que se había puesto ...
La marea estaba bastante alta y no pude pasar a Askada. me tuve que quedar en la orilla, disfrutando del espectáculo, el cielo, las luces, el mar, las olas y los surfes que aparuban el día al máximo...
