Fountains Abbey is one of the largest and best preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in England. It is located approximately 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Ripon in North Yorkshire, near to the village of Aldfield. Founded in 1132, the abbey operated for 407 years, becoming one of the wealthiest monasteries in England until its dissolution, by order of Henry VIII, in 1539.

Our sweet boy. Thank you for coming by.

Bob just wants to keep warm now a days.

Because of its picturesque beauty and easy access, Ozone Falls was selected for filming scenes for the movie “Jungle Book.”

In de Val di Non, in het Parco Naturale Adamello-Brenta, in het noorden van Italië, schittert een van de mooiste bergmeren van de Dolomieten: het Lago di Tovel. Het is tevens het grootste natuurlijke bergmeer van Trentino....

Happy trees! Hope you like the build.

Of the many lakes in the Dolomites, this is one to remember, this asthma spa against this massif is very impressive to see. With the lake at its foot, it makes a beautiful painting for all seasons....it also provides a good base for hiking trips to the Tre Chimes, the building in the middle is a spa for children with asthma....At first I didn't know what to do with it because there were almost no clouds above the mountain, but I saw these beautiful clouds approaching with the last sunlight on them and was happy to behold it.....

Many thanks for stopping by. I enjoy seeing you and appreciate your awards, comments and invites.

Coincidence or not, this hotspot was hardly visited that day, the weather undoubtedly played a role, a lot of low hanging clouds, gray weather and little sun, it broke through here for 5 minutes enough for me to capture it. Of course this has been done 1000 times before but what does it matter? always nice to have done something myself, especially because I only stayed there for one night.....

A little picture of the two loves of the house.

Please say a prayer for my John. He is in the hospital with pneumonia and very sick.

A Bob Ross "happy accident" :-)

It looks like Bob is giving me the evil eye thinking I want to take him in and he is always worried about that.

Thank you all for stopping with your comments, invites and awards. You are very much appreciated.

A bench near lake Crno Jezero. A glacial lake in Montenegro.

It is like sitting in your own Bob Ross painting. Such an amazing place and Montenegro is such an amazing country.

Have you ever been there?

This photo of desert brush in the West Valley is ready-made to be painted Bob Ross style. Do you know that you have the power to move mountains?

Many thanks and appreciation for stopping by.

Happy weekend.

One of the many villages in the Dolomites where I have been recently, I really enjoyed the beautiful landscapes there and traveled and seen a lot....

SuSu: The colours in this sky really pop! I love to paint the happy little clouds.

SuSu's hairstyle always reminded me of Bob Ross so she seemed an obvious choice for model in this shot. Full disclosure: I painted the wee canvas for her. ;) The colours on her palette were added in GIMP as well as some carpet cloning to hide her stand.

I got a 'Bob Ross feeling' when I was there, like walking through a painting.

Manny Quinn is Bob Ross this summer... Polaroid Now+ instant film camera. The Now+ can link to your phone, so you/it can do precise exposures on a tripod; I could never get this shot by just pointing and shooting.
