An abandoned boatshed dating back prior to 1970's was a local landmark largely untouched for many years and it's very disappointing to see the vandalism that has occurred over the past few years.

The iconic Crawley Boatshed in Perth, WA. Although I have been there countless times, still feel too difficult to interpret it through photos.
it is autumn, the coast goes back to quiet .../En ljus kväll, det är höst, kusten återgår till lugnet.../Un atardecer luminoso, ya es otoño, la costa vuelve al reposo...(DSC_5100-2)

No boating on the lake at this time of year! I have shot this boat house a few times in the past, usually in Autumn rather than Winter so it was nice to get a fresh take on it. That's it Jeff, my three shots from yesterday, I may offer up an alternative composition of the red barn, other than that you will have to wait until I drag myself out of the house again :o)
I posted a photo of the Crawley Boatshed yesterday (www.flickr.com/photos/jaydaley/15044302290/) to varied opinions. Thank you to all of those who said that the image was to their taste and to those of you who messaged me with other constructive feedback.
Here is another image of this same bleak morning, this time in blue and with my filters the right way up.
Feedback is again more than welcome – does it work better than the previous? What do you think?
View large and, as always, thanks for looking.

Another mono image from NZ.
This was one of my favorite locations, we came across it by taking a wrong turn and spent several hours here soaking up the tranquility.
I will be away again and (unfortunately) heading into some very hot weather next week , so there will be some very early mornings to try and beat the heat!!
Have a great weekend everyone :-)x

You can also capture this area by foot, but nothing compares to experiencing this life style by floating into the scene and becoming one with the peacefulness and beauty that 'surrounds' you.

I was truly fortunate to have a photo opportunity on the Lynnwood Docks, North Vancouver, BC.
There is no public access to these docks, marina or surrounding property. I had a special access tour as a guest, from a long time personal friend.
Strive to be different and original , be your own artist.
Thank-you for all the overwhelming support and many friendships.

The famous boat shed at Cradle Mountain, from a different perspective to the normal view from Dove Lake. This is the path that wraps around its northern side , with Cradle Mountain keeping a low profile on the horizon.

Made a couple trips up this section of the river, at different times of the day to early evening, to capture varying degrees of lighting.

The iconic Boatsheds, one of the most photographed subjects on the Bellarine Peninsula. Always a different mood and conditions and never fails to impress.
Bluebell, the happiest craziest dog on the planet totally getting into character for the sombre mood of this image.Taken yesterday on a lovely day out on the Norfolk Coast.I think she stood there for ten seconds and then she was off :)

Palm Beach is about 45 minutes drive from the Sydney CBD, and it takes me about 50 minutes to get there from the Hills District of Sydney. The seaplane takes 20 minutes, lol.
On this jetty is the 'Boathouse Cafe' with its views across The Pittwater and Palm Beach. It is an awesome place for a flat white coffee, and one of my favourite locations in Sydney. Here are some images of 'The Boathouse':

A balmy day at Sorrento and warm enough to go knee deep in the water for this shot. Taken with Nisi 10 stop GND Filter & 27 sec exposure. Boats slightly blurred but I can live with that!
Another one from the archives.
The iconic boatshed at the World Heritage listed, Cradle Mountain...it was snowing slightly at the time and the sky was rather bleak, not the view we'd hoped for...
