A narrowboat rests in one of Stourport’s historic basins, part of the old canal network that once bustled with trade. These days, it’s more about leisure than cargo - a quiet place to tie up, relax, and take in the riverside setting.
Out Of This World Dusk Fills Sea & Sky South Of Apollo Beach Florida - IMRAN™
This is an actual unedited low-resolution screenshot captured during the flight of my DJI Phantom 4 in early August 2018. Absolutely no editing or tweaking of any kind. I love the surreal colors, as if a painter in the mood for vivid colors decided to go wild with red. The way the white boat seems to glow in the middle of a sea of red beneath a gold and red sky made it a postcard moment for me.

I was able to take photos from a boat in front of this one. The boat I was shooting from was snaking back and forth to create waves for the enjoyment of those behind the second boat.
Located in Adams County, Ohio, near the town of Manchester, are the Manchester Islands. The Manchester Islands are on the Ohio River. In the summer, they are a favorite spot for area pleasure boaters.
(New) Moon (Tampa) Bay At Magical Florida Sunset - IMRAN™
Tonight’s stunning dusk shows a lesser known fact about Apollo Beach, where I’m blessed to live. Even on days ending in “average” sunsets, the deep hues and vivid shades of dusk cast their own magic on the beautiful calm waters of Tampa Bay, with a still new moon glistening above the horizon.

With one of the largest archipelagos in the world and
countless lakes, rivers and canals, Sweden is exceptionally well placed for a rich boating life.
The Swedes have always been interested in boats and
boating is one of the largest popular movements in the
country. One-third of the country’s adult population go
boating at least once a season. Sweden also has a highly
developed boatbuilding industry, which generates export
income and provides jobs, particularly in thinly populated
areas. With this in mind, it is not difficult to understand
why boating means so much to so many Swedes and why
Sweden is a major boating nation.

Spectacular Scene Lovely Low Tide Tampa Bay Bliss - IMRAN™
This was one of those dramatic extreme low tide scenes at my blessed home in Apollo Beach, Florida, where the missing water, sparkling wet sand, glowing bright blue patches of sky behind contrasting white and light grey clouds spanned over the rippling remaining water in the boating channel seeming to turn bluer the further it went, were bordered by the shining green palm trees next to the dazzling white waterfall rocks looming over the mesmerizing turquoise blue water in my pool......... a moment of pure bliss. I had just finished a conference call when I quickly stepped outside, climbed up on the rocks and wall, to capture 6 photos with the delightful Nikon D850. Those were stitched together to create this moment that has to be seen to be appreciated. I hope you will find it as soothing to the soul as I do.

Boats & Sailboats Slide By Miami Condos Glowing In Sunset Light - IMRAN™
This is another random shot taken during a cruise on my favorite boat, the 40' SeaRay Sundancer, as we cruised by downtown Miami under the falling sun's golden glow. I wanted to get the red, blue and white boats and sailboat in one frame but i was also handling the vessel. Trying to get all three in the frame was not worth the hassle.

Late Afternoon Yacht Ride Past Miami High Rise A Dozen Years Ago - IMRAN™
Actually this photo was taken 11 years before I got around to posting it in 2020. I do not even know what building that is and what the skyline looks like there now. But I know I left my mark there. :-) Can you spot the airplane I managed to catch in this frame?
This was a spectacular day for being out on my favorite boat, the 40' SeaRay SunDancer, before I headed to Pakistan for several trips that terrible year after my father's death just before Christmas 2008.
2009 was a disastrous year financially, and many of my hard-earned assets were forever lost. But I am grateful for the memories and experiences I got to savor.

This panoramic aerial image shows Vallø Marina in Tønsberg, known as Norway’s largest small boat harbour with over 1,250 mooring spots. Nestled between lush green fields and the calm waters of the Oslofjord, the harbour is a key recreational hub for the region. To the west lies the historic island of Nøtterøy, and in the distance, the town of Tønsberg stretches toward the horizon beneath a moody summer sky. The soft evening light breaking through the clouds adds both depth and drama to this peaceful coastal scene.
Once the site of a major Esso oil refinery, Vallø today is a thriving residential and recreational area, balancing its industrial past with a vibrant maritime present.
Gorgeous Blue Sky Blue Water Day Tampa Bay At Apollo Beach Florida - IMRAN™
My days usually get spent on the computer in the home office unless I am traveling to client sites. Most days the back to back calls and workload mean I rarely get a chance to step outside and take in the many gorgeous days and views unfolding across the expanse of Tampa Bay, seen from my blessed home and boardwalk in Apollo Beach, Florida. This was a day I made it a point to step outside with the Nikon D850 and shoot a few quick pictures. This is composed of six handheld photos auto-stitched into this stunning blue and blue panorama. The original photos are SOOC (straight our of camera) and there was NO color tweaking of ANY kind done to the scene. I just used autofill for the missing pieces in the corners. These were the truly spectacular colors as I was blessed to see them, on a day when the waters of Tampa Bay have an almost Caribbean and Bahamas feel to them. I am so blessed to be able to share these with you. Keep me in your prayers as I deal with the usual ups and downs of life but remain forever grateful.

Driveway Palm Tree Reflections Overlay Tampa Bay As You See Rays Of A Beautiful Boat Passing By My Home - IMRAN™
Even on a mostly cloudy day as it was on this mid-spring afternoon, when I recorded this video, the light from the window above the front door still causes a major reflection in the window on the back overlooking Tampa Bay. So you can see palm tree reflections from the driveway and street overlay the beautiful boating and yachting scene.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is the law enforcement agency responsible for policing the Australian state of Queensland. In 1990, the Queensland Police Force was officially renamed the Queensland Police Service and the old motto of "Firmness with Courtesy" was changed to "With Honour We Serve". The headquarters of the Queensland Police Service is located at 200 Roma Street, Brisbane.
Yes, indeed, I’m blessed to see the world’s most fantastic sunsets at my blessed home of six years on Tampa Bay, Florida. But that doesn’t mean my original Long Island, New York, home doesn’t have its own share of magic to fill the sky and out sights with. Enjoy this iPhone X partial panorama. I prefer full 360 but it is kind of stupid that Apple Inc. doesn’t support a full 360 panorama in iOS. Enjoy the daytime view at www.facebook.com/MyIMRAN/videos/940676739466480/ .

Some more self-portrait drone pics (and a few better edits of ones I posted the other day) of me in my boat on the Salton Sea.
We get some of the best sunsets out here! They've often nicer than the typical sunset on the coast back in San Diego.
I shot these on October 9, 2023 with my DJI Air 2S drone.

The story of the argyle starts with socks. Two pairs purchased when I was in high school in 1982 or 1983. One pair features hopeful shades of greens and tans and the other reassuring earthy browns, oranges and dark red tones to make the wearer feel grounded, sturdy and connected to earth. Only five holes can be found across the four socks.
I usually wore the socks with a pair of light tan leather shoes I bought at The Wild Pair in the Northland Mall north of Detroit. When asked why I still have socks from high school the only answer I can come up with is, "they don't take up any room".
Moving up you'll find a pair of beige shorts. I bought these specifically for the photo shoot as only a couple of my pairs of shorts from the 80s have survived to this day. Although they're not my clothes from the 80s, I was assured of their 80s authenticity when a couple of old men with terrible taste complimented them after I came out of the fitting room at the thrift store where I bought them.
And then there’s the top: with a brand name like Boat House Row, you know you're in for some serious boating clothes. Purchased in 1984 or '85, this pink highlighted argyle pullover sweater vest screams, "I'm the king of the world!" Always worn without a shirt underneath, this was my go-to garment when captaining my dad's boat, the Jimmy Mac.
Made from 100% cotton, I wore this one boating trip in the summer of '85 when I swerved the port side into a docked boat while headed back toward the slip after a day of drinking on the water. I was never so happy to be wearing an armless garment after generously pitting out thinking the boat was going to sink. Turns out, the damage to the boat was equivalent to a flesh wound.
The only time I wore the sweater and socks together was once when I went to Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour for a Pig's Trough.
The boat background I shot on 35mm around 1995-96 on my dad's boat while heading south on the Detroit River.
