Stone jungle ........ on the street there are almost no pedestrians. The roads are wide, intersections are so complex that you wait for 5 minutes of green light. But despite the fact that the road is almost empty, 5 pedestrians wait patiently for green light.

Each round, set maneuvers for your pilot and navigator on your ship's control board in secret. When all ships are ready, reveal and see where everybody else decided to go - hopefully not right into you!
No need for X-box with the original inexpensive Y-box. Hours of jollies with no electricity use. Must conserve there so EV's can be charged. May unplug the fridge too. Board games before war games.

The Zapotec were a pre-Columbian civilization that flourished in the Valley of Oaxaca in Mesoamerica. Archaeological evidence reveals their culture going back at least 2,500 years. Remnants of the ancient city of Monte Albán in the form of buildings, ball courts, magnificent tombs, and finely worked gold jewellery testify of this once great civilization. Monte Albán was one of the first major cities in Mesoamerica and the centre of the Zapotec state that dominated much of the territory that today belongs to the Mexican state of Oaxaca.
In a game of Zapotec, you build temples, cornfields and villages in the three valleys surrounding the capital to generate resources needed for building pyramids, making sacrifices to the gods, and performing rituals.

Played the board game, Gloomhaven, this evening. This game has a lot of stuff! Pretty fun though, even though we got our buts kicked. But at least we learned more about how to play and managed to get some gold and XP for our characters. Next week we'll get to try again, but with more stuff and knowledge!
This was fun, and a big thank you for all the lovely comments.

Game dynamics is similar to Century, only that one is mechanical and boring, while this one is interesting and fun!
#Darktable notes. Trying the new Diffuse/sharpen module for an after-glow effect and overusing Color balance RGB for saturated golden light for a more "fairy tale" mood.

Bob and I enjoy Euro-style board games but we also like to stay home. Two players in a game meant for four doesn't work, so we each play for two. It makes for some complicated games, but we can take a break whenever we want and come back later or the next day. Works for us.
