As you might know, I am positively obsessed with all things sailor-themed. If I was a Lolita I would be a Sailor Lolita for sure! =^^=
I wanted to make a tribute to some of my favourite all-time sailor outfits made by some talented Blythe seamstresses. (Plus a WIP shot by Frederique who is currently making me a gorgeous OOAK dress!)

I've been working on this for the past few weeks. I'm making a set to match the theme of Blythecon Chicago - sweets! I'm almost finished with this one, just need to finish sewing the fastenings and make some socks. I decided to make as many of these as I could out of the macaron fabric, which ended up being 7. It took me forever to find gemstone beads that looked enough like candy/matching colors, I don't know what I was thinking sewing them onto the bottom hem and then doing it 7 times.... it took forever!!!
I'll be donating one to the con, keeping one for my dolls, and then 5 will be available at my table.
I've also made a few other full sets I'll have to take photos of. I'm starting with outfits that come with multiple pieces and have techniques that take more time. Once they are all finished I'll be focusing on single dresses, since they will be quicker. I hope I can accomplish my goals before Blythecon! This will be my first one so I don't know what to expect, I'm very thankful it is happening so close to home!
Did you know, Blythecon Chicago is going to happen in 2 short months and 10 days!? grin emoticon If you’re hesitating buying tickets, please don’t! We're hoping the bulk of people will buy the event tickets before the 15th of September so that we will really know what we can put into the goodie bags!
