My friend visited us today, with her granddaughter, who had kicked her shoes off...not one to miss a photo opportunity, I quickly grabbed them, tied the laces and took a quick shot. I just love the wings and would have loved to keep the shoes!

My wife's favorite shoe store in Montréal.I bought her a pair for Christmas and she bought a new pair herself. Now she has 11 pairs of Fluevogs! All ladies know, you can never have enough shoes, lol!
Had to re-touch this pic and add the colors of the tatt on his leg and the reflection on the ground, yellow crocs, and a marley shirt.
I took this shot at 9am on Boxing Day.
This is Oxford Street, London. The place was deserted. In years gone by the road would be VERY busy with thousands of Boxing Day sale hunters.
Everything is all online line now. No need to sleep out overnight to get the bargain!!! The one shop I noticed a queue at was Foot Locker. There were about 50 young hooded individuals waiting to pick up and probably sell on trainers for a profit.....My sons tell me this is big business!!!
This is a London Bus with striking advertising for Carolina Herrera.....
This picture has just bought up 13 million views on Flickr. Thank you ALL very much.
Thanks for visiting.....

NYC streets, shot in 2014 with a Fuji x100. This edit shows how dangerous the streets of New York City can be, especially if the world was a gigantic cube.
Love sitting on my high stool with a coffee waiting for an photo moment to explode in my mind, this was one of the explosions ! have a good weekend everyone ;-))))
These blue shoes seem to suit me well
When I feel like hell
As I do now that you're gone
Lost and lonely since you stopped carin'
I've been wearing my new shoes
I've been wearing my blue shoes
You and I made the perfect pair
It don't seem fair
I loved you more than you know
Sorry I'm in such a sorry state
But while I wait for some good news
I'll be wearing my blue shoes
Don't feel like walking strong
Shufflin' along on my way home
Trudgin' down that shopping street
Where we used to meet
But I ain't buying
I'm wearing my blue shoes and crying
These blue shoes seem to suit my soul
Since you shot that hole
Shot that hole in my heart
And if I wind up on the sidewalk bleeding
I won't be needing my new shoes
Won't be needing my blue shoes
These blue shoes seem to suit me well
When I feel like hell
As I do now that you're gone
Lost and lonely since you stopped caring
I've been wearing my new shoes

18 Pairs of Blue and White Running Shoes is a bronze sculpture by Gathie Falk.
A walk on Cambie Street near Queen Elizabeth Park in South Vancouver we passed two new public sculptures courtesy of Washington Properties for the City of Vancouver Public Art Program.
Artist statement:
18 Pairs of Blue and White Running Shoes is a bronze sculptural installation by Gathie Falk.
The public artwork at this site continues Falk’s devotion to keen observations of everyday objects, as well as her use of repetition, both of which have been central to her practice for over six decades.
18 Pairs of Blue and White Running Shoes consists of a row of bronze shoes, cast in multiples from six new ceramic originals hand-sculpted by the artist and installed in pairs in an alternating pattern.
The resulting row of shoes appears largely uniform in scale while displaying subtle differences from one pair to the next.
In conceiving of this work, Falk revisited her ceramic projects of the 1960s and 70s, in particular, Eighteen Pairs of Red Shoes with Roses (1973) and Blue Running Shoes (1973).
The shoes in 18 Pairs of Blue and White Running Shoes bear the traces of human presence while reflecting Falk’s career-long interest in utilizing elements of clothing to explore ideas of gender, ritual and status.
46/52: The weekly challenge - Get low
A self portrait for this one...a low PoV but I also had to get low to set up the camera and focus. I bought these shoes, as a photo prop, from a charity shop a few weeks ago. I wanted to get someone to model for me but in the end decided on a self portrait. I think it would have given you all a real laugh to see me trying to walk in them...I can't believe I used to wear shoes this high!

Explore!
I have the feeling I'm standing at a crossroad, there are choices to be made and paths to be chosen.
Which way I go is up to me!
I came up with this idea walking home from work and seeing chalk stick drawings made by kids on the sidewalk.
And the other part of wanting to make this photo is those wicked blue shoes you see! :)
I never had shoes like that...
very different from the sneakers or chucks I normally wear... but so cool!
Of corse the weather turned HOT as soon as I bought the shoes and today it finally was a little less hot so I could show them off and photograph them ;)
