Blue pen for Macro Mondays theme "Pick Two".

The theme was "TWO" - two of something. I chose two blue pens for several reasons.

1) The blue plastic is semi-transparent and brings up lovely colours when in light.

2) The silver tips are shiny, making a nice contrast with the blue.

3) They're small and fit into the Macro Mondays size criteria.

4) They're actually quite photogenic, although they did roll around a bit making it challenging to set the tips together.

This was fun and I like the results. There are 8 photos in this set. I especially like this one where I positioned the pens on a metal table outside on a sunny day, over the hole that the sun umbrella fits into, and photographed from underneath managing to get the sky and clouds in the background.

I'll be darned if this wasn't one of the most difficult #Macromonday challenges for me! During these challenges, I strive to tell a story, or capture the imagination, but try as I might I could not think of how to do it within the confines of this "Pick Two" challenge. Finally, I decided on a Blue Pen as my subject...and after many attempts at trying to find a creative way to capture a blue pen, I went with a story that we are all too familiar with. I hope you enjoy! HMM!

missing NZ times

It's been very busy at work for the past few weeks...months, really. It's my own fault to a large extent because I'm bad at time estimation and took on too much! But at any rate, this photo is a true photo of the day because this is what my day consisted of -- revisions. I usually work on a screen, but sometimes for that last draft it's easier and more satisfying to go back to the old classic -- the red pen.

These are objects I found, made, saved, need or am about to toss out.

I'm taking part in a workshop called "Justice Has A Face". It's almost over and I've jus now decorated the front of the journal! I decided to go for the simple doodle with a pen. :) I used a leftover journal from my run with scissors class. ;)

Recently, I got some fine black pens; I wanted blue as well - but had to buy a box of ten pens. The pack was posted to me from Hong Kong.
