Blue hour is at dusk when the sun is at a significant distance below the horizon and the residual, indirect sunlight takes on a predominantly blue hue.
This image was captured when there was very limited light..... the last 'flickr' of the evening.

When you're all alone and lonely, in your midnight hour and you find that your soul it has been up for sale and you're getting to think about all the things that you done. And you're getting to hate just about everything. But remember the princess who lived on the hill, who loved you even though she knew you was wrong. And right now she just might come shining through... Glory of love.

You know, man, when I was a young man in high school, you believe in or not, that I wanted to play football for the coach. And all those older guys they said that he was mean and cruel but you know. I wanted to play football, for the coach. They said I was a little too lightweight to play lineback and so I'm playing right-end. Wanted to play football for the coach... fordecouuususshh
Dahlia - 'Blue Bell'
Throwing buds everywhere.
Normally I like to keep the off shoots out of it - that's just my way, but in this case it was impossible but additionally, I kind of like it here. This is. anew dahlia for us and it is quite noticeable how much the colour changes according to the light.....well all flowers do, but this one more than most.
This is taken from the small North Devon village of Instow looking across to the fishing village of Appledore.
In Greenland's frigid high arctic around the settlement of Savissivik, icebergs flow into Baffin Bay. One would be foolish to try to pass through this blue archway as you never know when the iceberg might split or turn.
The blues of the world's oceans may vary in intensity. One thing they do have in common is their beauty, which may be magnified by the reflection of the sun and the movement of waves.
March brings the tiny Iris reticulata blooming sometimes in purple and sometimes in blue. They are blooming right now in my yard and I couldn't help but paint one with the help of DDG (Deep Dream Generator) and Topaz Studio.
"Is the spring coming?" he said. "What is it like?" ... "It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine ..."

Blue Grosbeak (Passerina caerulea) is beefy, big-headed, large-billed bunting. Male is deep cobalt blue with rufous wingbars. Females are warm brown with rufous or buffy wingbars. Always look for enormous bill to separate from other buntings; also note unstreaked underparts and slightly longer tail. Swishes tail like other buntings. Fairly common in overgrown fields with hedgerows and bushes.
"Those blue, blue eyes, icy blue, looking back at me as if I could warm them up. They’re pretty powerful, you know, those eyes, pretty beautiful, too."

A close up view, about 12mm x 8mm, of the edge of a blue agate slice sitting on top of a slice of blue fluorite.
Agate is a rock consisting primarily of cryptocrystalline silica, chiefly chalcedony, alternating with microgranular quartz. It is characterized by its fineness of grain and variety of colour. Although agates may be found in various kinds of host rock, they are classically associated with volcanic rocks and can be common in certain metamorphic rocks (Wiki).
Fluorite is a colourful mineral, both in visible and ultraviolet light, and the stone has ornamental and lapidary uses (Wiki).

My exquisite Boo in blue.
Without my 6 quilled wonders (Lesser Tenrecs) and my photography, I would have often been at a loss with the world we find ourselves in. They have played a fundamental part in how I cope with the stresses and strains of the last few years.
Showing my support towards all people who suffer from ME or who are in pain, physically or mentally. In addition, I hope my little blue Boo makes you smile. x
"The deeper the blue becomes, the more strongly it calls man towards the infinite, awakening in him a desire for the pure and, finally, for the supernatural... The brighter it becomes, the more it loses its sound, until it turns into silent stillness and becomes white."
Quote ― Wassily Kandinsky
"Blue, green, grey, white, or black; smooth, ruffled, or mountainous; that ocean is not silent."

Blue jay - Mooresville, North Carolina
This is a better photograph of this species than the one I had previously posted. The previous post was Bird Species (# 101) that I photographed and placed on my Flickr Photostream. Overall goal is 1000.

I don’t see the blue bunting very often, they are a beautiful bird and don’t seem to hang around long, not sure if they are just passing through.
