SCOUT: “Hullo Paddy!”
PADDY: “Err… hullo Scout.” *Looks with consternation at Scout as he spies Scouts blonde curly wig.* “Oh! No! No! No! I’m not playing the witch in Scoutpunzel, Scout! It’s too, too demoralising!” *Prepares to leave.*
SCOUT: “Oh Paddy! I’m not Scoutpunzel today!” *Giggles behind paw.* “Please don’t leave!”
PADDY: “You aren’t, Scout?”
SCOUT: “No Paddy!” *Shakes head vehemently.*
PADDY: “Oh! That’s a relief!” *Fans face with paw.* “In that case I’ll stay.”
SCOUT: “Good, because I will need your help, Paddy!”
PADDY: “My help, Scout?”
SCOUT: “Yes Paddy!” *Nods seriously.* “Oh and today… ahem!” *Clears throat.* “I am not Scout.”
PADDY: “But you promise you aren’t Scoutpunzel?”
SCOUT: “Of course I promise I am not Scoutpunzel, Paddy! How could you even think such a thing?”
PADDY: *Points to Scout’s curly wig.*
SCOUT: “Oh Paddy!” *Giggles again.* “You are so funny! This isn’t my Scoutpunzel wig. Its much too short, except for my one long strand which is my special curl that Daddy gave me especially when styling it because I asked him to because it was very fashionable at the time.”
PADDY: “And what time, Scout? Who are you being today if you are not being Scoutpunzel?”
SCOUT: “Well I should have thought it was obvious, Paddy! I have a pretty muslin lace frock on, and a cameo…”
PADDY: “Yes, I noticed you wearing Daddy’s very special cameo of Prince Albert I hope you asked Daddy before you took it!”
SCOUT: “Of course I did, Paddy, and I asked if I could borrow Daddy’s very special writing slope from ye olden days that is even older than when the world was black and white!”
PADDY: *Sighs.* “I keep telling you Scout… err… whoever you are playing today… that the world wasn’t black and white, only the telly!”
SCOUT: “Well, I am too young to know what it was or wasn’t like then, Paddy!” *Preens.* “The world has always been colour since I was around, but that is because I am young and beautiful!” *Preens more.*
PADDY: “Well, I still don’t know who you are, Scout. Who are you being today?”
SCOUT: “I am being Scout Austen, Paddy!”
PADDY: “Scout Austen, Scout?”
SCOUT: “Yes Paddy!” Nods enthusiastically.* “You see, after we watched that documentary about Jane Austen on the telly the other night… which was in colour., so not from ye olden days, Paddy.”
PADDY: “Yes, I know it was in colour, Scout! I was sitting next to you.”
SCOUT: “Well, I was so inspired by Jane Austen’s amazing determination to write a book as a young woman during a time that women didn’t write books, that I have decided to write my own book as Scout Austen!” *Proud.* “It is going to be a best seller!”
PADDY: “Really Scout Austen?”
SCOUT: “Yes Paddy! See, I have my ink bottle and quill pen ready to go!”
PADDY: “And what is this best selling novel penned by you going to be called, Scout Austen?”
SCOUT: “Ahem.” *Clears throat importantly.* “I have given it serious consideration, Paddy, and after much del… delib… deliber… after lots and lots and lots of thought, I’ve decided to call it, ‘Bear and Bearability’.” *Proud.* “It is going to be a bearmance!”
PADDY: “Oh that sounds wonderful Scout Austen!”
SCOUT: “Yes, I thought so too, Paddy!” *Claps paws with delight.* “I’m glad you approve!”
PADDY: “One thing puzzles me though, Scout Austen.”
SCOUT: “Oh yes, Paddy. What pray, is that?”
PADDY: “Why do you need my help?”
SCOUT: “Well, I know that novels can be very, very, VERY LOOOONG!”
PADDY: “Some can be, Scout Austen.”
SCOUT: “Yes, at least ten pages or sometimes more!” *Flaps face with paw dramatically as he rests against the edge of writing slope. “And I only have small and dainty little paws.”
PADDY: “But what has that to do with me, Scout Austen?”
SCOUT: “Well, I also know that some writers have secretaries, and I thought you could be my secretary, Paddy!”
PADDY: “Me Scout... err Scout Austen?”
SCOUT: “Yes Paddy! You!” *Nods seriously.* “You have much bigger paws than me, and ones that are more used to hard work, whereas mine are little, gentle and soft.” *Strokes soft woollen paws gently.* “You are also very good at writing big words, Paddy, much better than me! So, I will dic… dict… dicta…”
PADDY: “Dictate, Scout Austen?” *Helpful.*
SCOUT: “I will tell you the story of ‘Bear and Bearability’, a sweeping and heartwarming bearmance set in the Regency era, full of heaving bear emotions, love, and the eternal battle to defeat the grumbly tummies over a nice high tea of scones and little deadly cakes!” *Sighs dramatically.* “And you can write it all down for me as I tell it to you!” *Nods and smiles.*
PADDY: “Well… I….”
SCOUT: *Pushes ink bottle and quill towards Paddy hopefully.*
The writing slope you can see in the photo is a black japanned lacquered mid Victorian papier mâché example with a red velvet lined slope. The ink bottle with is metal lid is original to the writing slope.
The Victorian cameo Scout wears at his throat is of Prince Albert’s profile. It has only recently been acquired by me. Made in 1862 of shell and set in an ornate gold frame, this tiny cameo is only two centimetres in length, yet it is superbly and intricately carved with his undeniable likeness. This cameo would have been in the top range for its fine details considering its size.
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
I was photographing Cassie about a week ago and it was super windy! I managed to take photos of her standing though but ended up liking this simple shot more XD I love how her eyes kinda match the background, haha :D
(Hopelessly trying to get back to my normal uploading schedule...)
I took this photo in the beginning of this week but I almost forgot to upload it :'D I don't have much to say except I hope you had a wonderful weekend ♥ I sure did and I was finally able to get enough sleep after 2 weeks with 6 hours of sleep per night ^^"
"Come on Mr. Alpaca, we have to hurry or it'll be dark before we get home!"
Cassie went for a walk with Mr. Alpaca. It was fun but sun started to set down sooner than they had thought. They had to hurry back home but luckily they got here safe <3
Melinda dreams of a snowy world filled with candy canes... Perhaps she will get some of those traditional sweets for Christmas? ;)
I hope you're doing well ♥ Our holidays began and it snowed so I'm quite inspired to take new photos now n__n
Decided to surprise my boyfriend at his gig by playing dress-up.

SCOUT: “Somebear! Anybear! Help! Help!” *Alarmed.*
PADDY: “Goodness Scout! Are you alright?” *Concerned.*
SCOUT: “Ahem!” *Clears throat.* “Since I’m wearing my Rapunzel wig made by Daddy out of curling ribbon,” *Preens.* “You may address me as Scoutpunzel.”
PADDY: “Oh. Well, are you alright, Scoutpunzel?” *Looks around.* “Goodness! What a mess, Scout… err I mean Scoutpunzel! There are loo rolls everywhere! What will Daddy say?”
SCOUT: “Who cares what Daddy will think right now? Does it look like I’m alright, Paddy? Of course I’m not! I’m stuck up the top of this tower of loo paper with no way to get down!”
PADDY: “How did that happen Scout… err, I mean Scoutpunzel?”
SCOUT: “Well, I thought I might play Rapunzel with mijn beste vriend Peter and Spencer, but I didn’t have enough blocks to build a tower, so I imp… improv… I used loo rolls instead of blocks.”
PADDY: “How very clever of you, Scout… err, I mean Scoutpunzel.”
SCOUT: “Thank you Paddy.”
PADDY: “So how did you get stuck up there, Scoutpunzel?”
SCOUT: “Well, I built a set of stairs with the other loo rolls, and I was just putting the third roll of my tower up when I accidentally kicked the stairs with my paw and they all tumbled down and rolled away.”
PADDY: “Well, that would account for the mess, Scoutpunzel.”
SCOUT: “Who cares about the mess, Paddy?” *Stomps paw.* “Now I’m stuck up here like the real Rapunzel! I asked Dolly to run for help, but she didn’t want to leave me. Dolly is so loyal!”
PADDY: “Plus, Dolly doesn’t actually have legs to run anywhere.”
SCOUT: “Well, there us that too, Paddy, but ssshhhh!” *Puts paw to mouth.* “Dolly doesn’t know that. Anyway, how will I get down from here, Paddy?”
PADDY: “Perhaps you could take off your wig and climb down your own hair, Scoutpunzel.”
SCOUT: “Paddy!” *Gasps.* “How could you even suggest such a thing?” *Shocked.* “Then I would be bald, Paddy! Whoever heard of a bald Rapunzel, or Scoutpunzel for that matter?” *Indignant.* “Anyway, my wig isn’t long enough!”
PADDY: “Oh dear!”
SCOUT: “I know! I know!” *Jumps up and down excitedly making bells jingle.* “Perhaps you can unroll all the loo paper and pile it up and make a lovely soft bed for me to land in!” *Nods enthusiastically.*
PADDY: “Well… umm… err…”
Don’t worry everyone! Just at that time, I came along and rescued Scout… err, I mean, Scoutpunzel, and put him safely on the ground. He was very grateful! If you follow my photostream, you will be familiar with Paddy (my Paddington Bear whom I have had since I was two years old) and his friend Scout, as they often feature in stories and adventures on Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday and sometimes other days of the week, such as this photo. The theme for “Smile on Saturday” for the 20th of January is “creative with toilet paper”. Now this theme made me wrack my brains, and if I’m honest, it wasn’t until I had this idea, that I even planned to enter this week. I was stumped as to what I could do that was creative. I hope that this use of loo paper to create a tower is creative enough, and I hope that whether it is accepted to the group or not, that it makes you smile!

Even though it's already December Sakura decided to go on a biking trip because there was no snow. She took her fluffy friends along and they seemed to enjoy it quite a lot :3

The weather's been really bad and I'm exhausted from all the school stuff, luckily Christmas break starts tomorrow... My dolly mood is kind of gone right now but reading your kind feedback on my latest photos definitely makes me feel better ♥
PADDY: “Well Scout, I’m glad you learned your lesson from last week and this this time built a tower or toilet rolls that is only one storey high,”
SCOUT: “Ahem!” *Clears throat.* “Since I’m wearing my Rapunzel wig made for me by Daddy out of curling ribbon,” *Preens.* “You may address me as Scoutpunzel, Paddy.”
PADDY: “Well Scoutpunzel, I’m glad to find us both with our paws firmly on the ground.”
SCOUT: “Well, I am too, Paddy. I can’t get stuck, or fall any further than the floor.” *Nods enthusiastically.*
PADDY: “However, I am less enthused by having to wear this patterned headscarf and knitted yellow shawl, Scoutpunzel. Why do I have to wear them?”
SCOUT: “Well, somebear has to play the ugly old witch, Paddy. And as you are ancient…”
PADDY: “Scout! Err… I mean, Scoutpunzel! What have I told you about talking about bears’ ages, especially mine?”
SCOUT: “But Paddy, you are ancient, coming from a time when the world was black and white! It suits you better than me to play the old witch. I on the other hand suit the part of Scoutpunzel perfectly because I am young and beautiful!” *Preens.*
PADDY: “I keep telling you Scout… err, Scoutpunzel, it was only the telly that was in black and white, not the whole world! Anyway, I feel like a 1940s housewife with this scarf wrapped around my head.”
SCOUT: “Well, be that as it may, Paddy, the story says that we need a witch to keep me locked up in this tower against my will, so that has to be you, since I am the young and beautiful Scoutpunzel with my golden tresses.” *Preens.* “Otherwise there is no need for a handsome and brave, tenacious bear prince to come and rescue me.”
PADDY: “Oh!”
SCOUT: “Now, all I need is a handsome and brave, tenacious bear prince to come and save me, like mijn beste vriend Prins Peter (Marian Kloon (on and off)) or Sir Spencer de Sant Galdric (FinouCat)! Come and save me from the mean old witch, Mother Paddy, Prins Peter and Sir Spencer de Sant Galdric! Let’s play knights and damsels in distress!”

Nellie is a huge lover of tea and books so there's no better way for her to spend an afternoon than reading in a silent room and taking sips of hot tea. She loves all kinds of books but especially old ones because they have a certain feeling in them. Maybe she could also read all the classic novels that I'll have to read this year? ;D
Yes, I bought a new doll! She arrived on Wednesday and so did her wig (what a coincidence, huh?) ♥ She's a Pullip Stica and I decided to call her Nellie. I hope you'll like her! :)
PADDY: "Daddy, do I really have to keep wearing this patterned headscarf and knitted yellow shawl?"
DADDY: "Just for a little while longer, Paddy."
PADDY: "But Daddy, playing the part of Mother Paddy the wicked and ugly witch in Scout... err... Scoutpunzel's faerie tale is demoralising!" *Sighs heavily.* "I feel like a 1940s housewife with this scarf wrapped around my head!"
DADDY: "I know Paddy, but it makes Scout... err... Scoutpunzel and Peter... err... Prince Peter, happy. As Scoutpunzel said, somebear has to play the witch, and that mantle of the role, or rather the knitted yellow shawl, fell upon you." *Giggles.*
PADDY: "Not funny Daddy!" *Waves paw admonishingly at Daddy.*
DADDY: "But soon, when Prince Peter and Scoutpunzel ride off to live happily ever after, you can take off the headscarf and shawl."
PADDY: "Do you promise, Daddy?"
DADDY: "Yes Paddy!"
PADDY: "Good! Then I can live happily ever after too, not being the wicked and ugly old witch!"
DADDY: "You were never wicked or ugly, Paddy. Even wearing your headscarf and shawl, you still look cute." *Giggles.*
PADDY: "Daddy! You aren't helping!" *Gives Daddy a hard stare.*
DADDY: "Now, just gaze into the crystal ball in front of you, Paddy, and we'll conjure up Prince Peter and Scoutpunzel. Are you ready?"
PADDY: *Sighs.* "Ready, Daddy."
DADDY: "Now say the magic spell."
PADDY: "Crystal ball, crystal ball in my paws, show me Prince Peter and Scoutpunzel."
CRYSTAL BALL: *Shimmers, sparkles and glows with magic, and shows Prince Peter and Scoutpunzel riding away through the enchanted Vosbergen forest on a unicorn.*
PADDY: "There they are. I wonder what they are saying?" *Listens closely.*
SCOUTPUNZEL: "I'm so glad you saved me from that old mean witch with her ugly patterned headscarf and knitted yellow shawl! Prince Peter, my very best friend. I hope never to see her again!"
PRINCE PETER: "You are now safe Scoutpunzel. We are in the forest The Vosbergen which means we are almost home. You never have to see that old mean witch with her ugly patterned headscarf and knitted yellow shawl again!"
SCOUTPUNZEL: "What a brave prince you are Prince Peter!"
PADDY: "Well I never!" *Effronted.*
DADDY: "Eavesdroppers never hear good of themselves, Paddy."
PADDY: "The nerve of those two! I didn't think I was all that ugly, even if I do look like a 1940s housewife! If I had real magic, I might be inclined to cast a spell on them."
DADDY: "Well, isn't it lucky you don't, Paddy. Everybear deserves a happy ending!"
PADDY: "Including me, Daddy! Now, may I please take off the patterned headscarf and knitted yellow shawl, Daddy?"
DADDY: "Yes, Paddy. A happy ending for everybear."

Thank you Marian Kloon (on and off) for the use of Peter and Scoutpunzel's image in my photo montage.
Short scene from unfinished movie.
I'm not sure if this look is attract for everyone, but I enjoy my outfit there and hope somebody like it too.
Please PM if you would like to see some more.
The summer goddess will go back to sleep very soon... She's very satisfied with the way this summer turned out. It has been an excellent one, but it's time to leave it behind and seek for new adventures. It'll be only a few weeks until the summer goddess is fully asleep. ♥

One time I wasn't inspired with Melinda fully clothed so this happened :D I'm quite happy with this picture, though!
School and doing my cosplay is eating all my time but hopefully I'll be a little more inspired than I was in the summer :D I prefer autumn ♥
This is a fairly old photo but I got a new editing software and I wanted to try it out ^^ I've been using the same one for 3 years now so it's going to take a while before I get the hang of this... Oh and credits for this cute pose go to littlestupidthings ♥
PADDY: *Quietly sips tea and enjoys the peace and quiet.*
SCOUT: “Hullo Paddy!”
ROSIE: “Hullo Paddy!”
PADDY: *Looks first at Scout and then at Rosie.* “Oh! No, no, no, no! No Scout… err… Scoutpunzel, I am not playing a mean old witch again!” *Shakes head vehemently.*
SCOUT and ROSIE: *Giggle together.*
ROSIE: “Don’t worry Paddy, Scout and I aren’t playing Scoutpunzel.”
SCOUT: “Well, today anyway.” *Giggles.*
PADDY: “I see one long strand of hair on your wig, Scout.”
SCOUT: “Well, that is to remind me of Scoutpunzel, Paddy, but I promise that Roise and I aren’t playing Scoutpunzel today.”
PADDY: “You aren’t, Scout and Rosie?”
SCOUT and ROSIE: “No Paddy!”
PADDY: “Phew!” *Sighs and wipes forehead with paw.* “That’s a relief.”
SCOUT: “No, we have a new faerie tale that we’re playing, today.”
ROSIE and SCOUT: *Nod enthusiastically.*
PADDY: “So,” *Takes a breath.* “Dare I ask what faerie tale you are reenacting today?”
SCOUT: “Sleeping Rosie, Paddy!”
PADDY: “Sleeping Rosie?” *Looks confused at Rosie.* “But Scout, Rosie isn’t sleeping.”
ROSIE: *Giggles.* “Oh Paddy! I haven’t fallen asleep yet.”
SCOUT: “But when she does, it will require prins Peter, who is also mijn beste vriend, to come and kiss her 10,000 times with soft snuffly kisses to wake her up again.”
ROSIE: “Oh I can’t wait for that!” *Giggles.*
SCOUT: “Come and see, Paddy!” *Looks at biscuits on plate.* “Hhhmmm… all this planning is making me hungry, Rosie. Let’s take a biscuit each.” *Picks up biscuit.* “Grumbly tummy, Paddy! Grumbly tummy!” *Rubs tummy vigorously.*
ROSIE: “Oh, a capital idea, Scout!” *Picks up biscuit.* “Grumbly tummy, Paddy! Grumbly tummy!” *Rubs tummy vigorously.*
PADDY: *Follows Scout and Rosie, eating the remaining biscuit as he walks.*
This beautiful nursery tea set is made by the Shell China company in the 1910s. It features six cups, saucers (not all the set is being used today) as well as a teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl, all gilt and featuring different nursery rhymes including: “See Saw Margery Daw”, “Jack and Jill”, “This Little Pig Went to Market”, “Taffy was a Welshman”, “Ride a Cock Horse to Banbury Cross”, “Little Jack Horner”, “Old Mother Goose” and “I Saw a Ship a Sailing” amongst others. Only the pieces featuring “Old Mother Goose” are being used today. It is the prequel set to the Shell China nursery and faerie tale tea sets I have from the 1920s and 1930s. The designs are very Edwardian and the set is made up of smaller pieces.

Rosie is Scout's cousin, because like Scout, she is a free trade knitted bear from Africa. She was made in Kenya by one of the Kenana Knitters, Martha Wanjira. She is made from home spun and dyed wool. She was a gift to me from two very dear friends, including the one who gave Scout to Paddy.
SCOUT: “Paddy? Paddy! Paddy, can you read me a story, please?”
PADDY: “Goodness Scout! What are you wearing?”
SCOUT: “It’s a wig, Paddy.” *Preens.* “Don’t I look beautiful? I asked Daddy to make it for me out of curling ribbon, since we don’t have any blonde hair lying around the house.”
PADDY: “You look like Dolly Parton, Scout!”
SCOUT: “I don’t look like Dolly! I don’t have a red hood on!” *Shakes head and preens more.* “I have a blonde wig on my head. Dolly isn’t blonde anyway.”
PADDY: “Not your dolly, Scout. Dolly Parton!”
SCOUT: “Who, Paddy?” *Shrugs.*
PADDY: “Dolly Parton, Scout! She’s a very famous American singer and song writer.”
SCOUT: “Well… I do like to sing, Paddy, but not today. Today I’m being Rapunzel!” *Preens more.*
PADDY: “Rapunzel, Scout?”
SCOUT: “Yes Paddy! You see, Peter, you know mijn beste vriend?”
PADDY: “Yes, of course I know Peter, Scout!”
SCOUT: “Well, Peter had a dream where he and I were rescuing Rapunzel, and I had a dream that I was Rapunzel. So, I have decided to play dress-ups with mijn beste vriend Peter today! I am going to be Rapunzel… well, Scoutpunzel, actually.”
PADDY: “And is Rapunzel the story you would like me to read, Scout?”
SCOUT: “Yes please, Paddy! Only if you don’t mind, of course.”
PADDY: “Well, I was reading Beauty and the Beast and…”
SCOUT: “Oh goody! No one wants to hear again about the poor Beast who gets changed back into a crummy handsome prince when he was perfectly beautiful as the Beast, Paddy! Let’s read Rapunzel instead. Look I have the book here.” *Puts books of Rapunzel on the table.*
PADDY: *Sighs.* “Very well Scout. I’ll read Rapunzel for you and Peter, and mijn beste vriend Oleg too if he wishes to listen. Then I will finish reading Beauty and the Beast afterwards.”
SCOUT: “Very good, Paddy!”
PADDY: “Are you sitting comfortably, Scout?”
SCOUT: “Yes, Paddy.” *Excited.*
PADDY: “Then I will begin. Rapunzel. Once upon a time there liv….”
SCOUT: “Paddy?”
PADDY: “Yes Scout?”
SCOUT: “Could you please replace Rapunzel’s name with another name.”
PADDY: “Well I can, Scout, but why? Rapunzel is Rapunzel’s name.”
SCOUT: “Well, just for today, can you call her, Scoutpunzel, please?”
My bears Paddy and Scout have made very good friends with two bears in Holland called Peter and Oleg www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/galleries/721577154558... and their Mummy (Marian Kloon (on and off)). Peter and Scout are very similar and have become best friends. Oleg and Paddy are also very similar and have done the same. Peter and Oleg have been travelling through Germany with Mummy Marian and have been in Bremerhaven where they saw a tall lighthouse tower. Peter and Scout are convinced that Rapunzel lives in the tower. Paddy and Oleg are not so convinced. You can see Peter and Oleg before the lighthouse, or Rapunzel's tower depending upon who you believe by clicking on this link: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/51377164210/in/datepos..., or looking at the first comment below.

A couple weeks ago I was photographing with my friends sudenluu, viaukodolls and uniusva (on instagram) :) I think they posed my girls since I haven't really been inspired with my dolls lately ^^ However it was nice to have some dolly time with friends ♥
(school is beginning tomorrow eep i'm so stressed because i'm going to upper secondary which means 8 hours long school days and tons of homework for the next 3 years)
Sakura enjoying a warm sunset ♥ The best thing about spring time is that sun sets down a little later every day.
~ ~ ~
I took this photo almost a month ago but I just had to share it with you! The weather was very spring-ish until my birthday, when it snowed and got colder :/ But after a week of being back in winter, it's spring again. I can't wait for the nature waking up, it won't take more than a few weeks ♥
Happy Sunday everyone!
Me before the New Year corporate party. In my company 2000 workers - therefore nobody recognized me.
