I remember when I was a kid, I love playing with toy trucks and trains. I remember playing constructions, mining for minerals, hauling heavy loads (rocks) and even "accidents". What I can do with my toys was only limited by my imagination...

Now that I'm a father of one, all I can say to my son, Caleb, is: toys are small and fun, real life versions are huge and have the word "work" written all over it. :)

Kleurinspiratie voor je interieur!

~ Duindoorns zijn te bewonderen in de duinen wanneer alle andere bomen en struiken hun blad hebben laten vallen. Tussen de sombere bruintinten en het goud- groenachtige helmgras zie je van verre al de vrolijke oranjegele, soms wittige dan weer koraalrode bessen. Wanneer de kou invalt zijn de bessen van deze weerbarstige struik een voedselbron voor vele dieren. Vogels en vossen eten de bessen graag. Ze zitten dan ook barstens vol vitamine A, B1, B2, C en E. Je kan er zelfs jam van maken. Maar wacht niet te lang met plukken want als de bessen lang aan de struik zitten, gaan ze gisten en ontstaat er binnenin alcohol. Dan heb je kans dat de vogels aangeschoten worden en heb je duindoornwijn in plaats van jam.

Op deze foto zijn de kleuren van de bessen en het wuivende helmgras gecombineerd met een prachtige herfstlucht. De lucht heeft een grijs-staalblauwe tint met een prachtige witte wolk. Dit zijn niet typisch vrolijke kleuren, maar komen tezamen ook niet erg somber over. Ook in je interieur kan je dit palet goed toepassen. Deze combinatie geeft je woonkamer of werkplek een stoer karakter. Voeg daarbij wat oude (industriële) elementen toe aan de ruimte. Zoals stalen vintage fabriekslampen, fraaie tekenkrukjes. Een verweerde houten tafel of juist een jaren vijftig Scandinavisch design kastje, dat maakt deze sfeer compleet.
