And they say it's like a flash of light, a blissful feeling, a feeling that we all need and want but can't buy with money...b.mikic

We finally got a lot of rain in the past couple of days. During a break in the rain, I took my camera into the backyard and laid it in the grass to shoot the droplets. This image is the epitome of simplicity, and not tack sharp, but I like how dreamy it turned out.
Taken with my vintage Pentacon AV 80mm lens, and 12mm Kenko extension tube.
Last night
the rain
spoke to me
slowly, saying,
what joy
to come falling
out of the brisk cloud,
to be happy again
in a new way
on the earth!

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I was a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.

the guitar
lying unplayed
dreams of possible sounds,
like the human soul
dreaming of knowing itself
once the ego ghost gets lost
with all its fabrications.
When thoughts yield to sounds
they have the power of freeing a soul,
bringing them closer,
closer to the real music
which always is of the Heart
which in truth is silence.
The sky lights up looking "through&out" a small passage during sunrise at Leo Carillo Beach.
Taken during a quick run up at Leo Carillo Beach in Malibu. After arriving just before dawn, Bill & I scouted around the perimeter for interesting subject matter. After discovering the arch there, I didn't think it could get any better, but I was in for a real treat. Bill was shooting lower on the reef as I shot from above, then he moved off to the right and disappeared from my view, I moved my tripod lower on the reef and Bill was gone. I became slightly alarmed and moved to investigated his demise, Hehe, As I traversed the reef to the north I found him shooting a small cove so I picked up my tripod to join him and when I looked up he was gone again, I climbed down onto the beach of this small cove and found that there was a passage across to the beach on the south where the arch is. I couldn't believe that I hadn't heard of this place before especially with a small cove, a cave, and an arch, it was the trifecta of photography bliss and there wasn't another person there, see it was a real treat.
Happy Easter, One and all, I wish you peace and prosperity this Easter Sunday.

The embodiment of industrial heritage and timeless beauty. Nestled in the picturesque countryside, its majestic presence evokes a sense of awe and wonder. The sturdy architecture, with its exceptionally tall chimney and intricate detailing, speaks of a time when textile manufacturing was at its peak.

This is one of the happy chickens from Grist Mill and Gardens in Keremeos. My previous eggs image was from this farm. When we saw this chicken eating the flowers, we knew they would be very good eggs coming from hens that weren't chased away from the flower gardens.
It does not take a lot to feel one and whole. For me a sunset at the sea belongs to these moments when this feeling pops up, just like yesterday evening. Blavand, Jylland, Denmark

I suppose the squash and apples I supply my friends has made them very happy - blissfully so:) BTW the apples are the first to go.
I'm not one for new year resolutions but here we go, I'm keeping it simple. No textures etc...just plain ole photography. Time to get back to the basics ... for me anyway!
Be well dear friends, now I have to learn how to write 2019 :(

Spot the two birds :)
For a change, this is a new (outside!) photo, taken just a few days ago at the wonderful Britzer Garten, one of Berlin's biggest and most beautiful public parks (please check my album for more "Britz bliss", if you like).
For better dynamic range, I've used exposure bracketing (three images), pre-processed the images in DXO PhotoLab (sharpness and DeepPrime denoising only), from which I directly went into HDR Efex Pro to combine the images. I'm trying to get away from the annual Adobe subscription, and combining images from an exposure bracketing series in HDR Efex instead of Lightroom is one step into that direction. Unfortunately, whenever I think I can finally leave Adobe behind for good they come up with improvements such as the new "supersize" function (now also available in LR), a ton of new presets for LR, and other interesting stuff (and I'm still used to the LR/PS workflow, and the layers in PS). Well, maybe I'll be ready next year ;)
Extra sliding was done in Color Efex, where I added some "Brilliance and Warmth" and a tiny bit of "Contrast Color Range".
Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone, stay safe and have a nice week ahead!
The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

"Bliss of Solitude"
Time is healing,
Some worse feeling.
I am happy,
It's getting better,
The pain of Solitude.
I intrigue,
Why to share?
So let it be,
As nobody care.
Thank God! I overcame,
Got affected,
But not broken down.
So can see the changes in the rules.
It's a new game.
No more alibis (Excuses)
Thoughts have grown,
The choice is mine,
In this Game of Poker (Life)
I am a Queen,
With a hidden Crown ..
(Tamanna)
This beauty is a beast (we reckon):
Russula emetica, commonly known as the sickener, emetic russula, or vomiting russula ...
I defy anyone who has a camera on them to stand at this spot and not take a picture! Along with Worm's Head, it must be one of the iconic images of Wales, yet I always struggle to get a decent shot! It's probably because we only go to Stack Rocks when it's a good day, and the skies are always too sunny!! Anyway the whole limestone coastline of Castlemartin Range East is stunning, and is fantastic to walk when it's open. Days there are always Bliss, by Muse!

The main lake at the Britzer Garten which is one of Berlin's biggest and most beautiful public parks. On that photowalk, in June '21, I had brought along the Ricoh GRIII (with which this photo was taken), and the Olympus equipped with the 7-14mm zoom lens (you can find a photo taken with that combo in the first comment). Back then, I couldn't decide which photo I should upload first, and the Oly image "won". So now it's the GRIII's turn. For this image, I had used a filter from the NiSi Master Kit for the GRIII (the polarizer, if I remember correctly), a set of filters that consists of a camera adapter, a filter holder, and, of course, several filters. This is a single image that I've duly (over-)processed for Sliders Sunday by using this and that in Color Efex, Viveza, and ON1 Photo RAW, plus a few LR tweaks and slidings. I hope you like it, HSS :)
Dear Flickr friends, I can't say how much time I will have for Flickr in the next weeks. We're having massive water damage in our apartment which means that right now (and for the next weeks) everything here is a huge mess. I will certainly stop by on Flickr every day to check your photos, and I also hope that, once we're settled some more again, or time permits otherwise, I can also continue to take part in MMs, and also continue to upload once or twice a week... Well, let's see how it will be.
Have a nice week ahead, and take care!
Not far from the repurposed wooden church in Low Head, Tasmania, we find someone's modern definition of domestic bliss. The colour scheme and the word 'Enamor' all point to Spanish origins. Think what you will of this house, but for the owner 'enamor' means to be "in love." And that's all we can ask for really to have domestic bliss.
