Treeson and some of his friends can't wait to say Hi to all of you! Hope you have a Happy Year of Ox!

Shown above are some test shots of the upcoming Treeson and Other Stories Blindbox Series

Dan and I were experimenting with glow-in-the-dark items. We put the smiski with the glow bracelet.

The Smiski boxes contained a series 1 figure who was looking back and a series 2 box figure peeking between his legs.

Leon is from the Amy’s Favorite Cat vinyl figures by Dreams Inc. He is 2 and ¾ inches tall.

I don’t know what he is looking at.

If anybody knows where a three track number with destination complete unit mechanism could be sourced I'd be thankful. The destination blind width is 45 inches so the actual width of the blind box would be 70 inches. This is required to assist in the restoration of Y291PDN a preserved Optare Solo, new to Crystals for the Orpington Midibus routes.

More toys came in today...

Blind box mechanism is in and bolted into place. Then I put an original Crystals Solo destination blind in. So pleased, cosmetically this brings the bus back to the Crystals/TGM transition which is what I'm keen to agnowledge in preservation.

A photoshop of Go-Ahead London MHV17 (BU16OZE) shows the old "skirt" that Go-Ahead London used fitted, old London Central logos, the white band just below the blindbox and advert board, regularly seen on Go-Ahead London commercial fleet vehicles, and the white on top as well, as seen on commercial Omnidekka 946.

Amy's Fancy Cats blind box by Dreams, Inc. Bought at Mitsuwa 01/28/2017

One of my Valentine's Day presents from my husband was a blind box Kidrobot Pop toy. I didn't even know that this series existed, so my hubby did good! They are heavy vinyl toys that are supposed to look like balloon animals. I got the black swan, which is supposed to be one of the hard-to-get ones. So now I can blame him when I become addicted to these things and start buying more of them. There are poodles, cats, swans, bears, unicorns, and giraffes. I at least have to get all the kitty cats!!

I'm missing a bunch but this is my collection so far!

Metroline

Volvo B5LH / Wright Gemini 3

VWH2353 - LK67CXL

Route 114, South Harrow.

One of a few of the new 222 batch which have entered service over the last couple of days. I'm curious to see how much the 114/222 batches are mixed in practice.

Ironically because drivers are obviously used to the new AC VWHs which do not carry blinds for 114 or 222, this bus was earlier running with black blank and a slipboard despite being fitted with the correct blinds!

Something to notice is that the latest Gemini 3s for London have presumably had structural modifications to allow the blindbox to be placed closer to the windscreen which is fantastic.

My latest blind box toy. Blogged!
