The Vostroyan Firstborn are Imperial Guard Regiments. Vostroya is a world in the Halo Zone beyond the Eye of Terror, which swore allegiance to Mars during the Age of Strife. It is now ruled by a committee of Techtriarchs, a mix of Mechanicus Magi and more traditional Imperial planetary government. During the Horus Heresy, Vostroya refused to provide regiments to the Emperor, preferring instead to reserve the population in the manufactoria blanketing the world. After the Heresy, the Vostroyans, out of guilt, agreed to supply every family's firstborn son to service with the Imperial Guard

Second 3d image ever created. Parker Duofold fountain pen circa 1927 (I've always wanted one of these). The only really modeled components are the pen and cap. Lit with HDR, using the Uffizi probe.
Petite scène réalisée sous Blender afin de tester les matériaux pour le verre, et le compositor avec un peu de bokeh pour l'arrière-plan, du vignettage, quelques aberrations optiques.
On peut sûrement se demander pourquoi poser des verres sur le sol, mais je n'ai pas la réponse :p

I decided not to add any other objects to this. I was not to happy with the stairs at the bottom of the water. But, I felt it was cool enough to render out 900 frames. I hope everyone has fun watching this.

On the technical side, this is a study in low-light, clutter, detail, set and prop design. Close to 500K vertices and more than 20 minutes of calculation - though absolutely no attempt was made at polygon reduction, everything is at full resolution, including the robot in the cupboard-machine.
