Came across these in my archives , although its Burns night in Scotland , Wales has it as their St Valentines Day :-) Never knew that until recently .

Today looks like a gloomy, rainy, November day. I’m not having it. I’m going back to Spring, when the sun was shining and the bleeding hearts were in bloom.
Groundskeeping
Throughout a lifetime
Our garden prose
Has carried heart weight
And it has been amongst the boughs
And arbors and mindful footfall
That new seasons are nourished
And my fingers are rooted in yours

But, now they've reached the end of the blooming period... well, this stem has anyway... awwww... I do hate to see them go. But, they've been looking good for ages now...

The gelada is a species of Old World monkey found only in the Ethiopian Highlands, with large populations in the Semien Mountains. Like its close relatives the baboons, it is largely terrestrial, spending much of its time foraging in grasslands.
