Decided I didn't particularly care for my previous upload, so I added a photograph I like much better.

We're more familiar with the pink / red Bleeding Heart blossoms. Here is the white version.

Compositionally Challenged Week 25 is Rule of Thirds. The bleeding hearts finished blooming a month ago, except for these three late bloomers. They are fully mature, their color fading.

The last Bleeding Heart for 2016

They're blooming all around us.

Bleeding Hearts in the garden are now fully open.

By sheer fluke I passed this group of Bleeding Hearts in the park on the way back from the ravine. Obviously they are a lot more well defined and regular as one might expect from a cultivar, but I still think the woodland plants are related.

Our Bleeding heart was moved. We didn't think it would survive but it did.

These blossoms bring back childhood memories. I'm sure they've always been around since then, but only in recent years have I noticed them again.

Bleeding Hearts are really hard to photograph well. Getting an artistic composition is a real challenge.

Red bleeding hearts

Taken for photochallenge 2009, day 167: pink

This shot is not original or creative at all, there are many thousands of photos of bleeding hearts here on flickr and everywhere else, but being exausted after 10 hours travel I did not have enough energy for something else. Due to railway workers strike in Finland I lost my airplane tickets and had to buy new tickets and go a different, very long route. I was so tired that I fell asleep before I could post this one yesterday evening, so it appears in the group pool just only this morning - those are consequences of strike. :-)

...is to want to reach for your camera. Who can resist trying to get a good shot of these charming little flowers?
