Det oppblåste begeret under blomsten er det mest karakteristiske med denne planten. Det engelske navnet bladder vetch er beskrivende. Blomstene har gul kjøl og hvit fane. Begeret er formet som en oppblåst avlang og spiss sekk. Fra lys grønn til rødburgunder farget. Bladene er runde og skjeformete.
Planten er for vanligst krypende med blomster i klaser.

"überorgan" installation in the lobby of the Getty Center.
In all my years of visiting the Getty, this is the first time I've seen an installation in the lobby. It actually played music every hour on the hour for five minutes...pretty impressive.

Brittle Bladder Fern, delicate, tufted fern to c.30cm. The long stalk is green, darker at the base, and the fronds are lanceolate, with pinnae particularly widely-spaced at the bottom. Growing in a steep crevice on Moel yr Ogof near Beddgelert.
