I knew that in Bali there was some blacksmith's master who made the traditional balinese's sword : Keris. So I have asked around me in Ubud and finaly someone told me about a pande (master) in a close village. Two days later in the morning I went to 20 km from Ubud and I met Pande Belah Batuh, blacksmith's master who have the privilege to forge some Keris. It was a pleasant meeting with a kind man who just want to show me his statecraft. Thank you to Dewa for led me to this place.

Jeffrey and I spent the day at Old World Wisconsin Saturday. The weather was perfect.
I also uploaded a video of the blacksmith to Vimeo
The smith had a small stall in Tallipiha during Tampere day where he sold various ornaments etc.
A version without sparks from the forge.

Another beautiful community event at MLF's Community First! Village using craft, farming & food to build bridges between volunteers and the homeless. We believe that hospitality, shared work & a common table are vital to our ultimate purpose of connecting human to human, heart to heart.
Only place in town where the teachers, craftsmen, cooks and leaders are homeless and there to serve you, the volunteer. Come on out and help us build a community that will change hundreds of lives for the better!

One of the docents in the blacksmith shop. Another Nevada City Scenics photowalk, this time at the Empire Mine in neighboring Grass Valley. This was one of if not the largest and richest gold mines in California from 1850-1956 and is now a State Park. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_Mine_State_Historic_Park

This is my third approach to that construction. I had an issue with the shape of the upper floor of that building, but it is finally done :) I’m happy that there is a feature with glowing bricks. When I started that MOC that feature was unavailable.
I rendered a lot of different shots, so I will probably add two post of that blacksmith’s workshop.
Regarding that scene. You can see a lot of work there, two experienced blacksmiths are working hard and one younger journeyman is grinding the blade. Other worker is on the first top. There is always a chance to sell some weapons to some unexpected group of adventurers :)
Regarding the group of adventurers, do you see that group on the road? I was inspired by one old RPG video game. It was one of the most popular games of that type. In that year or next will be released the third part of that title. Small question for you, do you know what game title I mean? :) Please leave a comment if you want.

Not only does the blacksmith make an appearance at special events like Childhood on the Plantation, he works at Walnut Grove's forge nearly every Saturday. This is new blacksmith volunteer Tim Jamison, who is re-learning the trade from Walnut Grove's long-time smith Bruce Mills.
