"Compound is clear sir."
I finished tying the stunned Blackscale captain to a tree, and leaft him to the mercy of his jungle and its beasts, taking his pistols as souvenirs. My comlink was flashing. I played HQ's transmission, but it was mostly garbled. Something about a Trandoshan counterattack and coordinates for their hangar bay. Sighs. More trekking.
"Copy that, let's move out. I'll take point."
The jungle only got thicker the farther we marched from the base, vines wrapping around the nooks of armor, insects sticking to our helmets, the dense foilage making quick passage virtually impossible. The charm of the jungle had disappeared. It was hot and ugly and deadly. After a couple of clicks, we reached a promontory, winding upwards and running parallel to our intended route.
"Clip, Ratchet, and Fuse, take the high ground, be our eyes and see if you can spot anything in this mess. Stay tight."
We kept advancing, sticking near the rock's base, the endless curtain of green harshly reflecting the sun's rays on our visors. It was quiet now, only the hollow thumps of our footsteps, as we crushed grass and dead leaves. It's as if we were the only the life in this undergrowth.
Clip's voice came over the comm: "Sir, I think I saw movement a couple of yards ahead."
I raised my fist, and we kneeled, scanning the foilage.
"Copy that, no sign of anything
down here. Let's keep mov–"
I heard a guttural, frenzied scream, and before I could turn I was on the ground, my vision blurry, facing a hideous green grin, a bloody dagger poised above my head, a searing pain across my back, a cacophony of blaster fire and whining of detonators...
"AMBUSH!!!"

Hello there.
I know, I know, it's been awhile. I've actually had this build sitting on my desk waiting to be photographed for a couple months... just never got around to it. I've been swamped by schoolwork, but expect at least a couple of builds before January. Gotta say I miss you all, and feels good to post again.
Check out my account on Instagram, extra pics there! (
Take care and God bless y'all,

"Wyndaru had Rhino Squad airdropped onto the beach. With little resistance, we were able to push through the dense, thick jungle. We had intel that the Blackscale Clan was just a few clicks north, our orders were to set a beacon for an air strike on the target. As we approached the target area command informed us of an increase in movement not far ahead. Instantly we head a branch snap to our left and suddenly we were under fire from our flank.
"Get down!"
"Where are they? Can anyone see anything?"
Unknown to us we had stumbled onto an entrance to their underground tunnel system, immediately we returned fire and began to push forward. After what must have only been a few minutes the firefight was over. I approached the last remaining Trandoshan and put him down.
"Basco, Copage! Status report!"
"Sir, we lost Jager, all other members accounted for.
"He will be avenged. Basco, take a few men and secure the first couple of tunnels. Copage, let's get this beacon set up and exvil."

New mission. Trandosha .We had to be discrete on this one. The orders where clear. Only engage the enemy unless fired upon. The Blackscale Clan has claimed a vast portion of the jungles on Trandosha. Because the Blackscale’s strongholds are well hidden in the dense jungles and caves, an orbital bombardment or airstrike is out of the question. This meant we had to infiltrate the strongholds on foot, take out any air support or shields, place beacons and then get the hell out of there before our brothers hit the stronghold with an airstrike.
So that’s what we did…

Hey guys I hope you like this build. :)
Damn, I should get that black or grey background though... In some cases it would look so much better (like this one)!
Fun fact: this is the first 16x16 build I made in the past 3 years ^^
anyway, enjoy!
After 4 months this beauty finally came out of its pupation shelter in my habitat. Found the strange caterpillar on my brick wall on June 26 & brought it in. On July 1 it created its pupation shelter on a piece of brick I provided. During the wee hours of the morning October 26, it came out. I had no warning, the evening before emerging, the pupation shelter looked the same. It did expel a bit of light green liquid on the paper towel on the bottom of the habitat.

Green.
Green everywhere.
In every shade possible, green.
Little flowers mingled throughout the trees and bushes brought flashes of color throughout the sea of green.
It was beautiful. Relaxing. Breathtaking even.
It was dangerous as well.
The Trandoshans know these jungles, far more than we do.
|CS-1742|Sabre: "Compound should've been just up ahead boss.
I scanned my HUD map. Coordinates said we were on track.
He's right. It should be right here.
Faulty Intel is the last cursed thing we need right now.
"Clip, Dancer, you two any good at climbing?
|CT-4474|Dancer: "Only one way to find out."
"Try to get a visual, we'll go a bit further up."
|CT-3741|Clip: "Copy that."
We had been dropped off on the outskirts of this sector of the jungle to avoid detection by enemy forces, and then made our way on foot towards the landing pad. HQ had intel reports indicating compounds were in place with direct comm-links to the Trandoshans landing pads needed for our LAAT/i's.
Eliminating or capturing the Blackscale Clan captain along with the landing pad was priority.
A bit hard to do, if we don't know where the kriff we are.
Clip's voice came over the comm.
|CT-3741|Clip: "Boss, I got a visual. HQ was off by about half a click to the west. Uploading new coords."
"Alright, good work. Stay low for backup."
|CT-4474|Dancer: "Do yall always get the fun part?
I chuckled. "You'll get your fun soon enough."
I peered behind a tree, some leaves brushing against my visor. Further ahead was a faint glimpse of the bunker compound, outlines by the few rays of light streaking firm the jungle canopy.
I saw 2 assassin droids.
Oh boy not another one of these. I unconsciously winced- I still had the scar from the encounter on Muunilinst.
No sign of the captain.
"Sabre, Tango, you take rear guard. Sabre, behind me. Fuse, Ratchet, follow."
They nodded and took their positions.
I unholstered my pistols, glancing back at the target.
I took a deep breath.
It's go time.
I sprinted from cover, fired two quick volleys, which slammed directly on the first droids chest, blossoming into a brilliant flower of fire- the blast had triggered the grenades on its sling, showering silver fragments.
*PSSZZzzz*
The laser bolt had glanced off my shoulder, and even with my armor I still felt the searing pain- much more than expected.
I instinctively ducked and rolled- out of the corner of my eye I saw the Blackscale captain- his wild, frenzied grin spread across his pale green face, firing wildly from his pistols, darting for the saftey of the jungle.
Oh no you don't.
I took off after him, entering the dark maze of trees, catching glances of his figure flashing in and out of sight. He turned a fired back at me, but stumbled while doing so, as I dove on him and knocked his pistols out of his hands.
My planted my foot on his throat, my pistol aimed at his head.
"Agck... you ssstupid Republic dogsss....hyckk..."
I pressed my foot deeper.
"Ughck... aghkk...ugk... jussst k-kkill ....me already..."
I tightened my grip on the pistol.
I hesitated.
"I probably should."
I pulled the trigger.
But no burning hole appeared on his forehead.
I looked at my pistol- it was on stun.
January 6, 2011
Decided to play around with off camera flash. I wish I had more time to plan it out and shoot on location somewhere instead of the living room couch, but by the time I get off of work its already dark. Hopefully, I'll have some free time soon. Anyone want to help and model for me? Haha.

I took the brick outside on my sidewalk to get some shots. Wings fully pumped up and feathery bits all dried out. This view from above shows the size compared to its pupation shelter. The black tar like stuff on the top are scales. If this is a female, it will use those scales to cover its eggs and camouflage them.

It didn't like the position I had the brick in and climbed up the side to be vertical again. These moths will not eat any but will use their entire short adult life to find a mate then the female lays eggs, rips off her scales to put on the eggs and dies shortly afterwards. The females emit a powerful phermone (scent) to attract a male.

This was the closest I could get to a face shot. Kind of like a sheep dog with no eyes showing. The feathery antennae were folded back and could not be distinguised. I placed the brick back in the corner where the brick wall the caterpillar had been found on, meets my house wall. Very protected. It stayed all day there and at some point in the night disappeared.

This is how I found it early in the morning when still dark. It had just come out and climbed up side of brick to start pumping its wings out. The antennae are still wet & limp. And this is the only time I saw its eyes which would later be covered with furry feathers. I was shooting thru the habitat mesh with flash in very dim light. Left it in darkness until I could have a friend come over for release later in the morning.
