The bacon is rather shy, hiding under the fried bread. The accompanying sausages, hash browns, tomato, mushrooms and fried egg, were, however, soon devoured!
This is the full monty from the Breakfast Club Hoxton. I used to live a 14 minute walk from here when I lived in London. It was not there back in the early 2000s maybe if had been there I would of never of left. It was good breakfast, although the toast was a little to posh for it's own good and a bit rock hard. This was the full monty option, I did not even bother reading the other options on the menu would been a waste of time. Three bits of bacon what a result!
I was in London yesterday giving a talk at Photo Forum. I had a great time talking there and it was a great crowd. If you are London you need to check out Photo Forum because it will for fill all your free monthly photography talk needs.
Been give quite a few talks this year. This latest one was the 4th year. Because I have been doing quite a lot I have put my tips for making presentations into this blog post.

A good start to the day in an English pub.
Depending on the restaurants you will find an assortment of traditional dishes:
Sausage, bacon, black pudding, tomato, mushroom, white beans in tomato sauce, scrambled eggs, fried bread, fried potato, fried egg, all served with a few slices of toast.
Un bon début de journée dans un pub anglais.
Suivant les restaurants vous trouverez un assortimant des mets traditionnels :
Saucisse, bacon, boudin noir, tomate, champignon, haricots blancs à la sauce tomate, oeufs brouillés, pain frit, pomme de terre frite, œuf au plat, le tout accompagné de quelques tranches de pain grillé.

Today's full English that I had for launch from the Seven Bees at Saint Georges in Kemptown. Best full english you will have, there is not better. Definitely one for the ull english album.

Another full english, and I may as well have gone with the fried potato as well. This will be the last one for a while, probably not until Christmas day, if I make it.

Another change to the breakfast, Eggs benedict, with black pudding, mushrooms, and a big fat sausage! Definitley starting to fade away now with these reduced portions!

I did miss a few (taking a snapshot, not eating) along this trip, as they were the same, but this was the last breakfast of the holiday. Still cut back a lot since the first morning, but as a going away treat, upped the sausages to 2, and some fried bread, albeit only half a slice this time! Other variations are poached eggs this time.
Back to the diet now............
Full english from the Farm Café in Brighton. Been awhile since I've posted a Full English breakfast picture to Flickr as they usually end up on my Instagram, definitely one for my Full English Flickr Album. This was last weekends breakfast from the Farm very good, it's next door to Bills but way better. Today we going to the Seven Bees at Saint Georges in Kemp Town for the ultimate breakfast.

Each family own some chicken and pigs, it would be too expensive for most of them to buy meat.
The day they kill the pig they use every parts of it to make some blood sausage and other nice stuff with parts of lung, liver and many other appetizing organs.
They make the pigs become really fat by giving them liquid meals with a lot of salt inside to make them want to eat more and more.
This way, they can eat for breakfast something they particularly like : slices of pig fat...

Chaque famille du village élève quelques poules et cochons pour se nourrir. La viande se vend dans les magasins aux prix européens alors que le SMIC mensuel est de 150 euros (600 lei) et il est impossible pour la plupart d'entre eux d'en acheter.
Le jour où ils tuent le cochon, tout est préparé en une demi-journée.. Boudins, saucisses, pieds de porc, chaque organe, des poumons au foie sont utilisés dans des préparations artisanales où chaque membre de la famille à sa spécialité. La grand-mère souffle dans les boyaux pour les préparer à accueillir la mixture de poumons / riz / paprika / sang des boudins traditionnels.
Les cochons sont élevés et tués uniquement lorsqu'ils sont très gros. Contrairement à la France ou d'autres pays, les Roumains ne cherchent pas à obtenir plus de viande / moins de gras mais à engraisser au maximum les porcs, les tranches de gras étant un des mets les plus appréciés à l'heure du petit déjeuner...
Pour ce faire, la nourriture (liquide) des cochons est saturée de sel de manière à leur donner très soif et par conséquent, les faire manger...

Feeling slightly “down” on Sunday morning , I involved the rule…..When the Heart is Sad , Fill the Stomach”
So it was , Two Fried Eggs , Two Sausages , Two Bacon Rashers , Two Black Pudding Slices , a few Baked Beans and Three smallish Hash Browns .
Plus two slices of Toast and a Mug of Coffee ( neither in shot ) .
I had added some HP Brown Sauce , prior to eating .
Home , Bishops’s Stortford , Hertfordshire .

After giving a talk in Leeds and little light boozing a full english breakfast was in needed. This breakfast was from Sami's Moroccan Restaurant, bit of a odd one by night it's a Moroccan Restaurant, buy day it's a greasy spoon. The sausages where not good at all, they where of the lowest quality. The mushrooms had been boiled in there own juices instead being fried. And tined tomatoes? Tined tomatoes that where aloud to mix with the Beeanz? Not good, that said I had it 10:30 in the morning and it kept me going all day till I had a pizza when I got home at 11pm.
The breakfast I had the day before in Manchester was way better.

Have not posted a Full English in a while if you want to see more take a look at my full english breakfast album.
On my way to work I remembered that the Red Roaster had just reopened and that for the first 3 days (Friday is the last day) the food is half price. So I thought I would take advantage and check out their full English offering. It was very good, if you've read anything I have said about breakfasts you know that always say that a breakfast can always let it's self down with with a poor sausage, well the sausage on this breakfast was excellent with a great flavour, much larger than average and getting close to the equivalent of two sausages in mass. The one thing that did let it down was that there are no Beanz. I did mention this when I was paying and the guy said maybe they could add some home made Beanz. I told him that Bill's did that for while but eventually relented and added Heinz beans, he told me that would never happen (the head chief is Michelin stared). Not that I am comparing myself to the equivalent of the Michelin stared chief in the photography world but but I suppose it's a bit like when people ask me if I put my photos on canvas. Do I look like a painter to you so fair enough. Anyway the breakfast includes: 1 big sausage, maple bacon, roasted & dried tomato, lat mushroom, black pudding, sourdough, 2 eggs any style for £10.50 (drink not included). On the menu this dish is listed as "English" so without the word "Full" I can let them off not including Beanz. The new Red Roaster on saint James street is well worth checking out, new decor looks great and it's less echoy than it was so not a noisy.
My hot tip for a great breakfast in Brighton is Lucky Beach on the sea front which is run by the same people as the Read Roaster but includes Beanz.
A few slight changes to Breakfast. Poached eggs instead of fried. Out with the fried potato, and in it`s place, something I rarely have with a breakfast, baked beans! Made a change, but always will be my least favourite breakfast item.

One of Weatherspoons “Traditional” Breakfasts , with no Tomatoes , but an extra egg in its place . Plus a side order of Black Pudding . Out of shot , is an included “round of toast” , plus a re-fillerble mug of coffee .

I love my Wednesdays off. Nice to make, sit and eat lunch without being disturbed. Yes that's black pudding - we were given some at the weekend and I am a tad partial....look, there is greenery too.

Breakfast, the most important meal of the day, some may say. Another weeks break on the Isle of Wight, and the first breakfast at our usual B&B is served. Proper bacon, fried eggs, tomato, fried potato, fried bread, hash brown, mushrooms, compulsory black pudding and 3 large quality sausages.
I skipped lunch!

After giving a talk in Manchester I consulted twitter for a place to get the best full english in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The majority of tweets I got told me to head straight to the Koffee Pot (i'm @lomokev on twitter by the way). I was not disappointed, the cafe has a really old school feel about with Leather lined booths. My only sight complaint is while the sausage was of excellent quality it was on the small side, if I had known I would ordered an extra one.
Saw a lot great things in Manchester, Leeds and Bradford this week. Think I am gonna write a blog post with my high lights.

I don't often do food pictures but I did like this one of Scotch eggs filled with Black Pudding. My arteries suffered but the taste buds enjoyed it. Purnell's bistro - Birmingham.
After the previous evening's roast , on Thursday I cooked Burger , Eggs , Baked Beans , Black Pudding , two small chipolata sausages and chips . With a small amount of gravy left from the roast , and some added Brown sauce .
