An exceptional street artist at work in one of Melbourne's better known street art walls. And the first one who I have seen in action being sensible enough to wear breathing protection while at work.

I'm starting to get the impression I'm into myself...
The Black Lodge is a widespread secret conspiratorial initiatory group bent on world domination. Or, alternatively, an abstraction of some stage curtains.
Street in Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Shares its name with the location of the entrance to the Black Lodge in Twin Peaks.
This was accomplished with a hoop made from small glowsticks that connected together. Guess glowsticks aren't completely useless after all.
The M.C.D.P group outing to the old glue factory and ANZAC drain was a great night. And all involved took brilliant shots, So a big thanks to

In the historical palace where the Atelier Ricci is currently located (Lucca, Italy), I found this red room. It's been very hard not to see it as the Lynchian Black Lodge from Twin Peaks.

Twin Peaks Tribute 🗻🗻
"Diane, 11:30 AM, February 24th. Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. I’ve never seen so many trees in my life. As W. C. Fields would say, I’d rather be here than Philadelphia. Fifty-four degrees on a slightly overcast day. Weatherman said rain."
Here's my Twin Peaks tribute - a sendoff to the greatest soap opera ever made and the hit cult classic. A mix of different scales & building styles, really fun to build once the idea was worked out. Completed in April 2022. I got the idea to finally do a Twin Peaks MOC when my sister gifted me The Secret History of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost. Great read!
From top to bottom and left to right, the scenes/characters represented are: The Great Northern Hotel run by Benjamin Horne, the entrance to Owl Cave, entrance to the Black Lodge, the Black Lodge / Red Room, The Arm (The Return), the Falls, Black Coffee, Cherry Pie, Laura Palmer (Dead, Wrapped in LEGO bag Plastic), a Donut, and of course the Fish in the Percolator.
Initially I wanted to do the Black Lodge / Red Room - but @dylanlaneart already did a great version - check out his vignette for that. I did copy the floor though 😉
Fortunate enough to have visited many Twin Peaks locations when I was in Washington State in 2019 including the Twin Peaks High School (now destroyed), the Double R, the Roadhouse, the Falls, the Great Northern (Salish Spa), & the Police Station (now DirtFish Stunt Rally School).

A worldwide Screaming Head LP collaboration between Catch-light, TxPilot, TigTab, blacklodge, garnatha, brigmaximus, and jah~
I just returned from a trip to Wisconsin for the AirVenture Airshow and then to Ontario, Canada to meet up with Catch-light for a collab with an AWESOME guy and Light Painter at an AWESOME location! At the same time, we coordinated with the others listed above to use the same light wand program in different parts of the world!! A Worldwide Collab with Australia, Ireland, Canada and the U.S. going on this one!! I love how the internet and flickr has made the world sooo much smaller!! I have made some great friends in all corners of the world and I hope it continues! :-)
I just could not resist on this... there just HAD to be a Screaming Head screaming Screaming Heads! ;-)
Please take a look at the other photos from the collab... And their entire photostreams for that matter! ;-)
Hello underground Australia! 4 months since an upload, shameful. Winter was coldly uninspiring this year so I planned a trip to the southern hemisphere and hooked up with the ever-awesome TigTab & Blacklodge to shoot some spectacular locations. Ultimate long distance collab which was a total blast :-) You guys were fantastic, thanks so much!
I just got around to watching the original Twin Peaks last fall and finally got all the way caught up with The Return just last night.
And holy cow, I absolutely adore this weird and fascinating show! It's definitely left a huge impact on me, and I'm still taking it all in. After finishing it, I really wanted to recreate as much of the cast of the original show as I could in Lego form, so here they are! I also tried to make it look like most of these minifigs came straight from the 90's, which is why I kept them yellow and with some older pieces.
Hope everyone enjoys!
heres another contribution to the group of these shots --so glad to be part of it and thanks to txpilot for the light strip sharing --hes a LP pioneer -------
This was a catch-light and Txpilot colab ----

so ive wanted to do a light junkie tribute to all the light painters out there that have inspired me and got me hooked on being a light junkie --so this is my shout out to all these people who when i first seen there work i was in awe! ---first hardcore LP shot i ever seen was from this guy TCB just such a crazy lp'er --ya gota check out his work and another one of them was from tackyshack - hes always ripping up something amazing --so innovative ---- and also there was Tdub303 his elaborate set ups and temple shots are still some of my top lp favs ---- then theres Denniscalvert ---just so much of a constant inspiration this guy is ---huge fan of his work and as well as txpilots amazing work he just keeps creating --always look forward to see what he creates next --and his tools are top notch ----- also theres a few other people as well like Tigtab and Blacklodge also CaptainB and Man_underground --
--and theres many more LP'ers to- im sorry if i missed ya ----all these people in some way or another have gave me so much inspiration and motivation to create these shots and just the joy of light painting i swear its the best for that just out there at night creating art with lights --its just as much of the experience as it is getting the shot -------thanks a ton to all the LP'ers out there for there constant one of a kind work there creating each time ---cant wait to see where it goes next
specs --this shot was one of those aha moments when i had found the light bulb and so wanted to incorporate it into the shot ------i thought of a bunch of ways and trying to figure out how to hold it and light it --so i made this little mini handle out of duct tape and stuck it to the end of the light bulb so that would let me have the light bulb a bit more in the air up from my hand ---now it was about trying the right way to light tat light bulb to make it look super bright so i knew if i cupped my hands holding the flash and i colud create a snoot and control how much light i let out and the direction it will be hitting the light bulb ---so after a few test and some different positioning i got the look i was hoping for -----now that was done and figured out i knew i had to add something more to the scene to fill that frame and add to the tribute --but man i was stoked on how that light bulb was coming out --- so i thought if i could do a light burst above as me looking at the light it would look rad --so i tryed that and that on its own is hard to get right and for the last part i knew i had to write "Light Junkie in there --and writing that with a little mini flashlight backwards(so the camera can see the word ) --man that was hard to get the position right ------so now it was just a matter of doing all these steps in order and hoping each one came out right -- thats the hardest part of light painting --is getting all the parts to come out just how you want them cause every photo is a one shot deal
-----sb-800 is in my hand and gelled yellow at 1/20th power and fired at start of exposure via nikons cls then i did the light burst and finished up with hand writing the word light Junkie all done in under 30 seconds
i am dozens of people
but i don't know a single one

Thanks Connorpod! The second I got the framing right for this one, we heard footsteps and stopped in our tracks. They must have been fellow explorers who heard our footsteps and got scared and left. Under normal circumstances I would have left, but there were so many more shots here. This place is right next door to the Minotaur Hotel, and it reminds me of the lodge in Twin Peaks. This place has so much potential, I can't wait to go back again.

The DIGITAL LIGHT WAND Tutorial is now complete!!!
HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN DIGITAL LIGHT WAND!!
(aka The Programmable Light Strip)
Alright Everyone! After some long hard hours creating a VERY detailed document on how to do this (and creating a How To Video as well!), here it is, as promised! Many have asked me how this was done over the past few years and I quite honestly did not have the time to spend with many individuals in explaining how it was done or supporting any problems that might have come up with others trying to follow a quick how to lesson so I was hesitant about getting any information to anyone. Now... With the Help of blacklodge!, Dennis Calvert, and Garnatha giving me feedback on the instructions during the process of building one, I have now completed the tutorial and I am ready to show everyone how it is done. This documentation has been a year and half in the making!
You can find get the detailed information on my personal website under the new Tutorial Blog at:
I would love to hear any feedback you have on it and if you do decide to take on the task of making one, I would love to see what you create with it as well!
ENJOY!

For those of you that do not think you can take this project on or just would like to get it in Kit form or fully assembled. I am considering setting up shop to do that for a reasonable fee if there is enough interest. I really was not looking to market this or make money on it but I am trying to figure out way to get it in others hands that are not the DIY type. :-) Just drop me a Flickr mail and let me know or leave a comment.
Thanks,
Mike

I could stay out all night shooting when the sky is like this. Inspired by Blacklodge! I love his high iso star shots. Been waiting a while for a starry night to do one of these.
