It doesn't snow all that much at Blackheath but this is the biggest snow fall there for possibly over 3 decades and so, it is a bit of a novelty for the locals. It looks as though they had about 50mm or 2".

A red rhododrendron in flower during Spring, 2020, at the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens, Bacchante Street, at Blackheath, in the Blue Mountains.

Photographed in the late afternoon of Sunday, 4th October, 2020, on the occasion of my road trip to Blackheath, in the Blue Mountains. About two hour's drive from Sydney.

The Campbell Rhododendron Gardens are amazing to visit. See their flower gallery at:

(Why I did not stop to change the lens to the Macro I do not know - but sometimes changing lenses can be a burden!!)

Wonderful Maple trees along Hat Hill Road at Blackheath in the Blue Mountains, NSW.

Foggy afternoon at Govetts Leap. Went there hoping to get a shot of the falls in full flow.... but only got fog.

I ventured up to the Blue Mountains to see an 'Open Garden' at 83 Evans Lookout Road - the garden of Robin and Marilyn. See:

But then I walked around Blackheath with its many cafes, blossom-lined streets and, of-course, the Rhododendron Gardens.

The township was packed with people. Families galore. I was lucky to get a table outside a small cafe. And the traffic going up to the Blue Mountains was like peak period in the CBD. But thankfully I have 'Spotify' on Android Carplay and can listen to the 1970s and 1980s!

Late afternoon in the Blue Mountains, Mt Blackheath lookout.

Before the rain or the rainbow, flocks flew fast somewhere else - there are a lot of them, near the Heath! But thursday was a special afternoon light with bright sun and gray clouds - before it begun to rain.

Spent two nights last month in the Blue Mountains. This is where we stayed in Blackheath at a friend's B&B, Crozier. The garden is beautiful.

It's funny how sometimes it's just what takes your fancy at that moment. I've been meaning to post this shot for years and just never been in the right mood, but there it is, sitting near the top of my potential posts folder. Anyhow, here it is, time to pop it out there. Hope you are all keeping well however it is going in your neck of the woods. Thanks as always.

Taking with me great EF 70-200m f2.8 from 3 meters distance. This lens is just the best. First nice day for a long time in London and enjoyed most part of it in Blackheath
