These squirrels would do anything, as you can see, to eat the bird seeds! One would climb the feeder & all the spills below would also be quickly eaten up! Poor birds, I've moved the feeder since so the birds could eat their fill, lol =) Best viewed large.

This rascal required a good deal of my time and effort. The original digital picture was swarmed with people and other distracting objects in the background which, in my opinion, distracted greatly from this beautiful 1929 Auburn M-120 Boattail Speedster.
The image you are viewing here is *comprised of three separate images; #1 - the car and “portions” of its foreground, #2 - the primary background (the tree, portions of the grass and the trees in the background and #3 - the sky.
Not only was it challenging to blend the various components together into a central theme, the additional challenge involved integrating slightly different ambient lighting and “temperature” conditions. Frankly I am not totally convinced this goal was fully achieved………but if you, the viewers, will refrain from being too critical, I believe we all can be satisfied.
Note: It seems there is a conflict raging regarding the proper usages of the words; comprised and composed. If you are an ardent grammarian of the English language, See here Personally, I prefer the use of the word “comprised” because it sounds better…………

With a pointed boat tail, pontoon-style fenders, cutout doors and raked V-type windshield, the Speedster in Auburn's new top-line 1928 series was greatly admired and quickly copied by other automakers. It was also very fast. A Speedster with an optional high-compression cylinder head was clocked doing 108.5 mph at Daytona Beach. Wade Morton and Eddie Miller covered a record 2,033 miles in 24 hours on the Atlantic City Speedway in a Speedster. Also in 1928, Wade Morton randomly picked a Speedster off the Indiana assembly line and entered the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. He raced up the hill in 21 minutes 45.25 seconds on the 12-mile climb that rises 2,200 feet and ran through ice and snow in the upper elevations. Morton took home the Penrose Trophy for the stock production class. The current record is just a little over 10 minutes for any class. Other Speedsters raced in Europe and South America.
The Auburn automobile features an eight-cylinder, 244.1 cubic-inch Lycoming engine that develops 120 horsepower and a top speed of 99.4 mph.
The 1929 Speedster sold for $1,895.

This is a Jerusalem Raven, and they are very common. Many are black and gray, and others have blueish hues. They are quite aggressive, continually on the prowl for scraps.
Their sound is not so pleasant, and when one is calling his buddies, you know there's a Raven nearby. Anyhow, Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday!
Before my "summer cut"... I thought I would visit the salon and get my hair styled and curled... I think Michael did a great job!
I did a little photo shoot afterwards so there will be quite a few in this vein to follow.
Went out to the countryside one afternoon with Alexandra and Jón to take some pictures. We went into this cavern wich has a waterfall coming in from the top, the waterfall is behind me in this shot and I am facing the entrance we came through, the light on Alexandra´s front comes from the opening where the waterfall comes down.
A bit on the artsy side for me, and I like it. Thx to Jón for coming along to assist us and lending me his wading boots.

Not really a fan of video on flickr, but.....You can't see this with a 2d photo.

Apologies for the large watermark, I'd rather display my images without, but,
this is an attempt to stop other studios using my work and claiming it as their own.
In my Jerusalem neighborhood, ravens, pigeons and sparrows are quite common. And sometimes we hear a woodpecker pecking away at a nearby tree.
The raven in the image above is really black and gray, although some of them have blue tones. They are loud and aggressive, and are continually looking for scraps. Ravens are strong fliers and are often seen together with other ravens in their flock.
Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday!
It took me some time to come up with this, but I wanted a tattoo of a Ginkgo branch with some in color, some in black and gray, and some as just linework. This is the result.
The upper and lower portions were done in November, and additional shading and color were added along with the middle branch January 13. It's backwards, I know, but I see the middle branch as the genesis of the two outgrowths, one in color and one in black and gray. Yes, I am a plant geek. :P

When my son was young, quite often, my Wife & I would take my son to various attractions in Pennsylvania. During one of our visits to the Strasburg Railroad and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, I took these Photos of Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1 4800, GG-1 4935 and AMTRAK (Former PRR) E-44 502. The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is across the road from the Strasburg Railroad.
This photo shows Electric Locomotive Amtrak E-44 Number 502 (Former PRR 4465) on the Turntable. Unfortunately, I took this photo through a Chain Link Fence, which shows out of focus in this Photo. This was the last E44, built by GE in 1963.
I took these photos with my Minolta Maxxim 5000 35mm SLR Film Camera on December 18, 1995 with Color Slide Film. I Scanned the Slide to create the Electronic Image presented here on the flickr™ site, using Photo Shop™ to improved the Exposure and Sharpness.
