I passed this barn a number of times and wanted to capture it but I needed to do it when the light was right. Finally early one morning I was able to capture this image with golden light coming through the trees. I was drawn to this barn because it is so neat, clean and picturesque. Truthfully, though I like to shoot any type of barn. :) Located in Walland Tennessee. [Edited in Photoshop and Topaz}

We moved to Maryland from South Carolina, a little over a year ago. This photo was the last one from South Carolina in my "For Flickr" folder. There have been plenty of flowers in Maryland, and, God willing, I'll be posting photos of them soon.
Thank you for looking! Isn't God a great artist?
I couldn't leave this blackberry leaf on the chain link fence. It was just too vibrant not to collect, then share. While walking our dog, I've found a new use for the plastic dog waste bags. Just keep one for snipping road-side flowers and other treasures. As my husband reminded me, 'Make sure you take the right bag inside the house and the other to the trash bin.' Right.

Blackberry lily, (Belamcanda chinensis), from what was my wife's flower garden, before we moved. There's a small Hymenopteran on one of the petals.

Blackberries grow wild throughout most of Europe. They are an important element in the ecology of many countries, and harvesting the berries is a popular pastime. However, their rigorous growth and tendency to grow unchecked if not managed correctly means that the plants are also considered a weed

#20 - Fruit, 52 in 2017
Every morning blackberries or blueberries are my favorite fruits for breakfast. They make my new day more splendid. Interesting that one of my last photos in the past month was a blueberry, too.
After several weeks away from Flickr, I return although not as frequently as before...and I'm fine! A hug to all; I'll be catching up slowly.
Mellow September brings ripening blackberries to admire as I walk along the country road.
I am back after a lengthy absence, which I needed in order to adapt to living alone after my husband's placement in a memory care home. His Alzheimer's grimly progresses. We are in the end days now, and observing and documenting the beauty of nature and the changing seasons brings me solace.
