Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a black and white day at Color my world Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday.

Today I have a very highly processed picture of my festive lights in black and white. This is another version of this them but I like it. So I hope you will like it as well…

Yesterday, I had a very spontaneous family gathering with my parents. I had a crazy day but an awesome time ! I set up all of my Christmas decor, including the Christmas tree ( yes !! My Christmas tree is all done ! Can you believe it ??) !! We did some major decluttering of our clothes with my husband (which was very fun, actually !!) and of course I prepared a meal for my parents and us. If you are curious: we had pierogis.

I’m very sorry but with all that I could not answer all of your comments !! I will try to catch up as soon as possible my friends !! Meanwhile stay well and safe !!

And i feel like eggs are my bests friends this morning… Due to a massive hungover after a family celebration, I need some comfort food like eggs. After that, I will be back to my normal running / laundry folding / decluttering day…Or so i hope !

The Black-and-white Warbler is the only member of the genus Mniotilta. The genus name means “moss-plucking,” a reference to its habit of probing bark and moss for insects.

Red-Bellied Woodpecker.

10 inches in length. Barred black and white above, pale buff below and on face. Sexes similar except that male has red crown and nape while female has red nape only. Reddish patch on lower abdomen seldom visible in the field.

Its habitat includes open and swampy woodlands. It also comes into parks during migration and feeders in winter.

It breeds from South Dakota, Great Lakes and southern New England south to the Gulf Coast and Florida. Northern most birds sometimes migrate south for the winter.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday. As usual, I have a picture from my archives. I take so many pictures that this black and white day is a great opportunity to show you some of my other concepts. And also, I can enjoy my social activities during the weekend (read : drinking like there is no tomorrow lol) without having to be sober and ready to take a new picture !

I must admit: once again I’m a victim of a hungover but it is my running day today so I will do it… even if it means that I will have to run slower, with a headache, slightly nauseous and in zigzags LOL. But I will do it: just watch me !!!! And then I will jump in my pool even if it is raining !

It has been a good summer in Vancouver for Eastern Warblers, a Chestnut-sided, Ovenbird, Tennessee and now a Black-and-white! This bird was first found by Jacky Ip on July 5th and I was happy to relocate it early this morning.

This is the only member of the genus Mnitilta, which means "moss plucking". They have an unusually long hind toe and claw on each foot. This adaptation allows them to move securely on the surface of tree bark.
