Early in 2024 I acquired a number of models which had been in the late Mick Broadhead's fleet. As things progressed with the sale of the models we were left with a number which weren't going to sell and weren't of general interest.

This Olympian is one. To be correct, it's two Olympians.

I had a very good bottom deck which was the 'Roe' body. I had a top deck which had been prised open with a screwdriver, visibly with a lot of damage. It'd been fitted with a coach interior.

I then had an Eastern Counties model (2007 release) which had a bottom deck with visible mazak rot and which fell to pieces when I tried to get it ready for painting. Thus I'm left with a chassis. But, strangely the top deck was perfectly sound. And it had a bus interior.

So between these two buses I had enough to work with - and the bus needed a complete repaint. I noted that Blackburn Transport had run a few of these in the fleet during the early 2000s and I've used the identity of one here.

This is the finished vehicle.

Norton feather-bed frame, sporty bottom end, panhead barrels, home brew heads [I think].

Had only managed ~130mph while I was there but had seen 150+mph previously
