I arrived on Siberut island with several bed bug bites on my thigh, the first of the many blood-feeding arthropod bites that i'm about to sustain in the next few weeks...

Barrels & Bites, the ultimate festival of drinks and auction returned to the Tuscany Ballroom at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, Friday, Nov. 13. The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is the official benefactor of the annual event where attendees enjoyed hundreds of specialty wines, beers and spirits, alongside a selection of hors d’oeuvres and desserts and participated in silent and live auctions. Zachary got bitten at day care today by a 13 month old little boy. I tried to get a good picture of it (you know, for the memories and all) but somehow it looks much worse in real life that what I was able to capture.
I got a few bites in the desert. This one is the weirdest. I see it when I look down to write. It's making me coocoo!

Believe it or not, the swelling was much worse this morning.
When he got bit on his cheek last summer, his face got a little swollen, but the bump was there for a few months. This is a pretty severe reaction, even for him. He's always been very sensitive to spider bites, but I think now it's time to get an epi pen just in case. Next year, it could be even worse.
