Here are the babies that mama was protecting! They blend in very well with their surroundings. If your a bird and are born on the ground I suppose you better. These bitds are able to walk as soon as they are born, they have a longer gestation period.

From the back stair of the Triumph Lodge we get a bitd's eye view of the Buras Triumph Baptist Church. Look again. Those holes were created when Katrina's wind picked up tiny objects and blew them through the walls like bullets. Notice also how much of the vinyl siding has been ripped away.
