A courtyard in Bisbee, Arizona constructed largely of huge gates. The building next door was closed and so was the courtyard.
Happy Fence Friday!
This was such an interesting city to experience. It was quite a large city back in the early 1900s when mining was at its peak here, only 11 miles from Mexico border. This city has quite a rich history and incredible architecture, almost european like.
"About the Lowell Americana Project... Lowell was once a thriving part of Bisbee’s mining district. A small town boasting a vibrant main street (Erie) filled with a five and dime, auto dealerships, gas stations, a movie theater, a barber shop, a bakery, a pharmacy and more. Though much of Lowell has been lost over the years, its Main Street has remained nearly intact. A slice of Americana that appears to be frozen in time, reflecting this colorful period in our country’s history."

I still have many photos of murals taken in Chemainus but for today something blue from Bisbee. Bisbee is known for its numerous stairways, and it is the home of a fitness event, the 1000 Stair Climb.
