Male domestic shorthaired cat (Felis catus) named PurrC on his 3rd birthday. He and sister Ashley enjoyed an afternoon of (supervised) exploration and treats on the patio. He was adopted 5/21/18 from the San Diego Humane Society.

We hiked out Buckhorn Draw to Birthday Arch. The story is that the man who first noticed the arch found it on his son's birthday. The hike in the draw is largely on sand which gets tiring after awhile. Getting out of the draw and up to the cliffs where the arch is located also involves ascending on sand. But the area around the arch is rocky, although a bit crumbly in places. The spire in the previous image is off to the left. We scrambled to the top of the cliff and hiked over to the top of the arch. Very interesting area.
Today Bailey celebrated his 13th birthday! He's had a rough 2020, just like the rest of us. A bad dog fight ending in two surgeries, and a really bad hot spot resulting in him becoming septic. He is recovering well despite his age, and enjoyed some new birthday toys and treats.

This old fella, the one on the right, turned 18 yesterday. He hasn’t been in the best of health for the last couple of years and we really thought he was on his last legs a couple of months ago, but a new vet worked magic and he’s quite rejuvenated. In fact he keeps trying to go off on adventures despite being deaf and rather lame with arthritis. Stelios very much appreciated all his FB birthday wishes yesterday, thanks Guys 💕
