The stunning church by Bartley Green Reservoir
The church dates from the 15th century. It was altered around 1751 when the wooden tower was rebuilt in stone, restored in 1873 and there were other alterations and additions 1931 – 1932 by Bateman. There was another restoration in 1947 following a fire.
The tower main arch has a hood mould with head stops depicting King George V and Queen Mary.
The building is constructed from sandstone in a red and grey colour, until 1965 the tower contained two bells.[2] A new church hall was constructed in 2005

Another image I thought I'd post that I have updated for my webpage, with more sympathetic processing.
This is either a well known vacuum cleaner, or Selfridges in Birmingham, you decide?!

I've not had much Flickr time this week, but luckily went into Birmingham today and visited a few sites! This is the iconic Selfridges building by the Bull Ring.

Project 52
My first new shot of 2021 and a WMR Class 172 leaves Birmingham Moor Street heading for Stratford-upon-Avon. Seen from a car park/future development site in Digbeth, The Rotunda dominates the scene.
I had a crack at this viewpoint a year or two back but wasn't happy with the results. The puddle reflecting the Rotunda cracked it for me this time.
Plus, with the publication of the Digbeth regeneration plan, views like this will disappear over the next few years. Being so close to the city, this prime site will be worth millions. Best capture these views before they disappear.
