Still in a lot of down and NOT ready to be where he is...
Taken this morning. There is a Owl box with two chicks of which one has gotten out out the box and cannot get back in. He is roosting on top with the parents and nest mate still in the box. Hopefully the adults will feed him where he is. I doubt if he can make his way back in as the roof hangs over the opening. This dude is gonna have to FLY into it!!! YIKES!
I'll keep ya'll posted. This is my first Barn Owl frame ever...
Many thanks for all your continued comments and faves, which are very much appreciated. Here's hoping for a travel restriction free 2022.

Barred Owl
The Barred Owl (Strix varia), or Northern Barred Owl, is a true owl native to eastern North America. Adults are large, and are brown to grey with barring on the chest. Barred owls have expanded their range to the west coast of the United States, where they are considered invasive. Mature forests are their preferred habitat, but they are also found in open woodland areas. Their diet consists mainly of small mammals, but they are also known to prey upon other small animals such as reptiles and amphibians.

On the way out early this morning (4/13/21) to cover the Blue Angels practice session on the West end of Pensacola Beach near Fort Pickens I came across this Bald Eagle. I have been photographing Ospreys for years near Fort Pickens and this is the first time I have photographed a Bald Eagle. I actually stopped the SUV on the grabbed my camera and got the shots. The Eagle was just chilling out on one of the sand dunes. This is where is pays to have your camera ready to at all times. Be safe!
