The anteater chat or northern anteater-chat (Myrmecocichla aethiops) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae.It is found in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Gambia, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan, and Tanzania. Its natural habitats are dry savanna, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.

Blue-naped Mousebird, Urocolius macrourus pulcher, 35 cm / 14 in. COMMON and widespread in arid and semi-arid bushland, woodland and sparsely bushed grassland. A bit of blue-nape showing, just follow the eye line backwards.

Female Pygmy Falcon, African Pygmy Falcon, Polihierax semitorquatus, 20 cm. / 8 in. COMMON Resident of semi-arid bush and dry acacia grassland. Often seen perched conspicuously - though this is the only one we spotted perched.
