Tawny Owls (Strix aluco) are a resident, sedentary and highly territorial breeding species in the UK. They are responsible for the most commonly heard owl sound, the classic, nocturnal ‘twit twoo’ call, with which most people are familiar. Tawny Owls are primarily a woodland species, but have adapted to live almost anywhere there are trees, including city parks, wooded urban and suburban gardens, farmland hedgerows and copses, as well as more extensive areas of woodland and forestry.
A few more from their last visit. This time i spent most of the time focused on the males. They are always the slowest to trust us so the females tend to be photographed early is the visiting season and the males right at the end.
Each year the group is getting bigger. The first year there was about eight in the group. This year there was over twenty.

The red-tailed black cockatoo has the distinction of being the first bird from Eastern Australia illustrated by a European, as a female, presumably collected at Endeavour River in north Queensland, was sketched by Banks' draughtsman Sydney Parkinson in 1770.
The red-tailed black cockatoo's closest relative is the glossy black cockatoo; the two species form the subgenus Calyptorhynchus within the genus of the same name. They are distinguished from the other black cockatoos of the subgenus Zanda by their significant sexual dimorphism and calls of the juveniles; one a squeaking begging call, the other a vocalization when swallowing food.(wikipedia)

The Northern Lapwing, also known simply as the Lapwing, is a medium-sized wader bird native to the UK. It's characterised by its striking appearance, with a black and white plumage, a distinctive crest on its head, and a long, slender bill. Lapwings are commonly found in wetlands, fields, and grasslands across the UK, where they feed on insects, worms, and other small invertebrates. They're known for their acrobatic flight displays during the breeding season, which involve aerial maneuvers and loud calls. Despite being a familiar sight in rural areas, Lapwing populations have declined in recent years due to habitat loss and changes in farming practices. Conservation efforts are underway to protect and restore their habitats.
The common emerald dove (Chalcophaps indica), also called Asian emerald dove and grey-capped emerald dove, is a widespread resident breeding pigeon native to the tropical and subtropical parts of the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The dove is also known by the names of green dove and green-winged pigeon. The common emerald dove is the state bird of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Stocky brown wader with bright red legs; compare with slenderer, far more gracile Spotted Redshank in juvenile and non-breeding plumage. Often rather wary, alerting other birds with its loud, fluty, whistled calls. Bobs tail when nervous, and then flies to show flashy white trailing edge to wings, white rump patch. Feeds in muddy shallows, probing and picking with its bill. Inhabits fresh and coastal wetlands; also breeds on moorland, usually near water.
