Paul the bird man - I love this guy-he's like a bird magician. The way the local birds flock to his open hands in anticipation of a feast, is just wonderful to watch and to capture in light. Great street photography from the great city of Bath.
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
Hope is the thing with feathers

Close-Act Theatre performance "Birdmen". One of three costumed stilt walking puppets resembling prehistoric birds at Lincoln Center's Summer For The City.
When I was walking along the western end of Pycrofts Road, Thiruvallikeni, Chennai, chirping,calling, fluttering and flying of parakeets above me attracted my attention. It was very busy time and heavy traffic too. In spite of these disturbances, in the heart of the city, seeing such a crowd of parakeets I contacted and enquired C.Sekar, known as Birdman in International Media, about this happening.
He told that he has been feeding the birds for more than a decade and during the winter season nearly 2000 to 4000 birds visit his roof top. It is a very interesting story and media of India and International regularly highlight this in their coiumns.
