Dakoda decided Big Bird freaked him out so when he climbed through the tube and B.Bird was on the other side he was just NOT having it.

Schon seit einigen Jahren erobert die Nilgans unsere Seen, Flüsse und Parks. Ursprünglich aus Afrika stammend, hat sie sich mittlerweile auch in Europa verbreitet und ist vielerorts ein fester Bestandteil unserer Natur geworden.
Doch sie ist weit mehr als nur ein „Exot“:
🌍 Sie zeigt uns, wie anpassungsfähig Vögel sein können und wie sich Tierarten in neuen Lebensräumen behaupten.
👨👩👧 Nilgänse sind sehr soziale Tiere, die in Paaren oder Familienverbänden leben und ihren Nachwuchs mit großer Fürsorge großziehen.
💚 Ihr auffälliges Gefieder und ihr stolzes Auftreten machen sie zu einem echten Blickfang in jeder Landschaft.
Und trotzdem … die Nilgans polarisiert:
⚠️ Sie gilt in manchen Regionen als Konkurrent für einheimische Arten.
⚠️ Durch ihre Ausbreitung kommt es manchmal zu Konflikten mit anderen Wasservögeln.
⚠️ Auch der Mensch sieht sie nicht immer gerne in „seinen“ Parks.
Für mich persönlich ist sie ein spannendes Beispiel dafür, wie dynamisch und vielfältig Natur sein kann. 🌿 Jede Begegnung mit ihr erinnert mich daran, dass Veränderung Teil des Lebens ist – und dass auch neue Arten ihren Platz im großen Gleichgewicht der Natur finden.
Ohne die Nilgans wäre unsere Vogelwelt um ein faszinierendes Kapitel ärmer. ✨

No one looked at us strangely AT ALL. There was also a random bird freaking out that we were standing there.
this bird freaked me out I thought it was fake - then he moved. This is the second bird that did this to me.
These weird birds freak me out. They are so big, with HUGE beaks almost like a toucan's, only more curved. I think they could chew on an ordinary crow and spit it out. Seriously the pictures don't do them justice. I'll try to get a better pic.
I"m not entirely sure what possessed me to take about 30 pictures of the birds in my backyard, but for some reason I did. I guess thats what happens when your mom is a bird freak with a ton of birdfeeders, and you are home from school with a sinus infection and cold. Anyways, here they are. The lighting was terrible outside today, all cloudy and whatnot. But i edited the heck out of them anyways.
