There are many different types of figs, from dark purple to green and slightly purple. We have four fig trees, one of which is over 8 metres tall and unfortunately only bears false fruit. The smaller ones bear fruit at different times, so that we can harvest new fruit every month...Figs are very healthy

..Vitamin A (retinol) is good for the skin and mucous membranes as well as the eyesight of our eyes.

Vitamins B1, B2 and B6 regulate the metabolism and are important for the nerves.

The absorption of folic acid is a prerequisite for cell division and blood formation.

Biotin (vitamin B7) supports healthy skin, healthy hair and strong fingernails.

A high magnesium content promotes cell regeneration and energy balance.

It also contains potassium, phosphorus and iron. Potassium can help to normalize blood pressure. Iron is needed for blood formation.

Queen Anne's Lace (Daucus carota), a member of the carrot family is native to Europe and Asia and often found in disturbed dry agriculture land, abandoned fields, waste places, and road sides.

Its flowers resemble lace and its root smells like carrots and are edible. Bloom time is from late spring until mid-fall. Each flower cluster (Umbel) is made up of numerous tiny white flowers. The flower cluster starts out curled up and opens to allow pollination. The cluster then rolls itself shut again, like a reverse umbrella when it goes to seed at the end of the season.

It is generally edible. The seeds can be used in soups and stews, the flower head can be battered and fried. Its root can be grated, and tastes like carrots; also, contains vitamins A, B and C, biotin and also pectin.

I am still not sure about this lens. It is softer than I would prefer and sometimes I don't like it at all, and then sometimes it looks so filmic and good. I need to play around with it some more.

When the Jesuits first arrived in South America, the natives greeted them with an aromatic herbal drink served in samll hollow gourds. At first the missionaries rejected the drink and even tried to outlaw its use. but eventually they discovered the pleassure and health benefits of the New World herbal infusion and embraced it as their own. That herbal drink known to many as Yerba Misionera (Missionary's herb) was yerba mate. Originally was a restorative beverage bequeathed to the Guaram people by the God Tupa, who conseled them to "share this plant and use it to recover energy."

Today yerba mate is an important component in the diet of millions of people in South America and it is slowly being adopted by the health-conscious in Europe and North America.Over the past four decades mate has even found a place in the Middle East, where Syria has become the world's largest importer of the herb.

It would be difficult to find another drink as many nutritional ingredients including, carotene, thiamin, riboflavin, B-complex, nicotinic acid, pantothenic acid, biotin, magnesium, calcium, iron, potassium, sodium, manganese, silicon, phosphates, hydrochloric acid, chlorophyll, choline, inositol, vitamin E and enough vitamin C to prevent scurvy in South America's earliest rural populations, which had no other source of ascorbic acid. Mate is also and excellent diuretic and promotes regularity. Mate is not addictive, but it can be habit-forming.

the traditional method of drinking mate is as an infusion, sipped through a silver straw from a hollow calabsh. Like the Japanese tea ceremony, the South American habit of drinking mate has been styled into folk ceremony with a rich cultural history ans symbolic language of its own.

The steps to prepare a good mate are as folows: first the gourd is filled with yerba mate to about one-half of the container and a small amount of cold water is added to swell the herb and prevent it from clogging the bombilla straw. Once the mate has settled for a few minutes, the bombilla is inserted into the center of the gourd at an angle, with the bulled strainer-end inside the herbal clump and the body of the straw leaninig on the edge. From that point on, the bombilla should never be stirred or moved, because it will clog. Once the bombilla is in place, hot water (but not boiling) is added to the mate, taking care not to spill or stir up the yerba mate.

The host always takes the first drink, because this first mate is strong and not considered the best. But the next mate is always given to the guest of honor, and succeding brews are passed around the circle, in turns, by order od social hierarchy. Each participant empties the entire mate before returning it to the host, who will refill the gourd and hand it to the next participant. This bears some similarity to the Native American Pipe Ceremony.

Mate purists will only drink the beverage from a gourd, with a bombilla and without any sweetener. However, you can add sugar, honey or mint to the tea. Some people do not like the idea of sahring a mate for hygienic reasons, or would prefer to drink the tea from a cup. Loose mate can be prepared like traditional english tea, and some tea dealers sell the herb in individual brewing sacks. There are many brands, and each has its own distintive taste. Generally, you will find a well-brewed mate somewhat smoky and aromatic with a flavor reminiscent of alfalfa. The mate will grow on you as your body gets use to its antioxidant and vitamin-rich chemistry, and your mind enjoys the lucid, clear-headedness it promotes without coffe's jitters. The best way to learn about mate is to brew a cup and enjoy it!

I may add that people in Argentina drink mate anytime during the day. They also enjoyed the mate outside in parks and beaches.

The clock is made of leather by an argentinian artesan and is called "The dream", the beverage conteiner is made of wood and is ornamental made by another argentinian artisan.

Quail eggs ( right side) are considered a delicacy in many parts of the world.

We hung out with a patient who was only there for a couple of days for an electrolysis appointment.

Day 5. Finally moved a teeny bit of air through my left nostril finally. Then I got a tummy ache from the diclophinac and paracetamol-codeine....so they gave me domperidone and it turns out to be the first thing I've ever had an allergic reaction to. I broke out in hives and was quite worried. There were no pharmacies open, 2Pass kind of disappointed me by having nothing on hand at the facility, and the only option was to go to the hospital. Which would be cheap in Belgium, but we still declined.

Claire got her Facial Feminization Surgery with Dr. Bart Van De Ven at the 2Pass Clinic in Antwerp, Belgium on September 4th, 2018.

He had a lot of before and after pictures for Claire to look at, and a 6-day stay in their clinic to include food and board was included in the price. It was a really nice facility, and Carolyn was glad that Claire had chosen 2Pass over PriyaMed in India, after seeing CT scans confirming friends had paid for procedures that were never even done (PriyaMed suuuuucks!). Dr. Bart and the entire 2Pass staff, including the resident who lived at the clinic and took care of all the patients, Petra, were very nice and friendly. We absolutely have complaints about the experience -- the implants that made my mouth look worse for months, only to threaten my life, creating two more additional surgeries for me to undergo and recover from. The nerve damage on my chin, which I think could have been avoided if Dr. Bart didn't insist that CT scans are unnecessary while any upscale FFS place does CT scans. The complication under my eye which literally exploded out of my face, but only 14 months later. Letting me leave without my chin strap. Sending me home when I wasn't really fit to fly yet. Having a big wooden table with an irregular shape that people trip over, which is very easy when your eyes are sewn shut. Not shaving as much off my forehead quite as I'd hoped (but still an amazing forehead job!). Not doing as much jaw work as I'd hoped (and that nerve damage). Not including a neck lift in my package when it absolutely should have been (it's so saggy now & it has been indicated as something I should do by another FFS surgeon). The surgery was good -- I've had people tell me in private that my FFS is the best FFS they've ever seen (wow) -- but it wasn't A+ for us. It was more like a A- or B+ for results, B+ for price, C for choosing the right procedures to perform on me, and a C- for complications endured. We felt like there was a lot of room for improvement in our experience as well. Like they don't say what time of day to arrive, and only let you check into your room a few hours before your appointment. So we ended up being several hours late because of this -- they could simply let people in 6-8 hrs before their appointment, then we would have been able to aim earlier and not be late. But at the same time...no regrets. This surgery was the best thing to ever happen to me. I'm very happy with what 2Pass did for me. I just wish things had gone better, and I'm going to ask for a revision to fix some of the problems.

So we ended up being several hours late because of this -- they could simply let people in 6-8 hrs before their appointment, then we would have been able to aim earlier and not be late. But at the same time...no regrets. This surgery was the best thing to ever happen to me. I'm very happy with what 2Pass did for me. I just wish things had gone better.

Claire broke out into hives from one of the medications. Carolyn gave her prescription anti-itch cream to Claire to help with the itching.

I just wish things had gone better, and I'm going to ask for a revision to fix some of the problems.

as much as I like the red I feel like I take myself more seriously with brunette hair. I'm also in the midst of some serious growing. I'm taking biotin and trying my best to be less harmful to my hair, so going back to brunette and not having to dye it other colors will help with that.

This was when it really really set in. I've slept maybe 3 hours out of the last 24, and am dead tired. When I go to sleep, I will be woken up at 7AM and carted directly into a 6-hour surgery. That's scary as fuck. I might wake up once for 30 minutes, and never wake again. I took a dramatic 10 minute video talking about everything, during which I had to hold back tears. Hell, I have to hold back tears just writing about it now. My voice is cringey because I didn't hit a major speech therapy breakthrough until 2 months after the surgery, but I'm with my soul mate, and could die happy today.

Scared as f*ck, though. The video I took can be found at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrI95m9yfoc

Day 4. I hate how I feel a tiredness and slight shortness of breath ALL THE TIME. I'd settle for being able to control the flow of drool from my mouth to the floor and/or my panties. Would also be nice to have feeling in my forehead (which actually had some air in it that I squeezed out by accident, then it itched a lot for a min or 2) or in my lower lip. Molly Jane Powers said it will be around for months. All my lower teeth feel like after I had my radial cyst removals when the nerves reattach...I remember constantly rubbing my teeth with paper towels in order to make them feel SOMETHING. Nerve attacks, basically. Well this feels like that. But everywhere. Used a straw without holding my lips together with a hand! Woo!

Claire gets to take her own bath now, with assistance from Carolyn. This surgery doesn't lend itself to giving one the energy to bathe every day, but it's required for two weeks. The burden Claire must bear for her transition, lol.

I just wish things had gone better.

The surgery was good -- I've had people tell me in private that my FFS is the best FFS they've ever seen (wow) -- but it wasn't A+ for us. My latest Create-A-Monster reroot. Her outfit is pulled from more sources than any other doll. Basically because I am not confident with my color coordinating skills.

I am obsessed with her hairline which became wonkier than I had hoped around the front but I'm still pleased with the peaks and angles.

Here is: Witch CAM, Sig Rochelle necklace, Little Dead Riding Wolf sleeve, CAM werewolf dress, CAM witch belt, Ghouls Rule Frankie boots and cauldron

Hair is from dollyhair.com: brilliant black and poison ivy

Many many thanks to Wonderlandfan for giving me the confidence to reroot CAMs. They are my favorite dolls to work on and I would not have had the courage to try it on my own. Thanks Karin! xoxo
